Rook, fingers crossed
I really do cross my fingers......The first time I remember crossing my fingers is when I was 10 years old.....At Punt Pass and Kick for those who may know it.....First year they had it in my home town I was 10 years old and had played football since being 7......My Dad had a tape measure and about 6 footballs and he drilled me in a open field walking distance from our house...…
Anyway, I won in my home town and then had to go to Raleigh the next week...….I know everyone from N.C. was there and maybe more, not sure.....After My turn came I felt pretty good and landed everything within a couple of feet from the tape......Well, I remember my Dad walking towards me after everyone went and he was shaking his head.....I crossed my fingers and he said me and another boy tied and each had to punt again.....Can't remember what he did but I nailed my punt and almost hit the line.....I Won where NCST played football and had to go to Richmond Virginia the following week and compete against the South East I think it was......Well it was 2 degrees that morning which didn't matter but my kick went left and was upset with myself......In the end I came in 2nd and the next 2 years I won in my Home town but never made it back......We were riding home and my Dad said you kicked the tickets out the window or something like that.....If my kick had been better I would have been on the half time the following week in Washington playing STL Cardinals at the time....
I think they still have it but I haven't seen in year if they do...…………………..Anyway, fist time I remember crossing my fingers and have ever since
Gbird saw this and had to go look at the score, I'll take it
I may get outside for a while, I thought more games this afternoon and it's beautiful here.....Sitting here with the windows wide open because when the pollen gets here, no more open windows...…
Hope we can't hit these next 2 plays and maybe we can find another play or so later...….
Wish I could watch but can't watch games I have money on accept Duke...…….Back later
Knock!
