Should be in the ballpark. Alabama has won 12 season openers (11-1 ATS) under
Nick Saban. The lone ATS loss was to West Virginia as 22 pt. favorites in 2014.

I like it. Hopefully they make it 12-1 ATS.

Yeah, but the one ATS loss was after Bama got beat by OU In the preceding bowl, and after Clemson beat Bama in 2016, they were life-and-death with FSU until Francois got hurt in the 3Q. And in '09, Bama only covered by 3.5 against VPI after the bowl loss to Utah.

Saban has done worse in openers after bad endings to the previous season. Still with Duke losing their QB, I couldn't possibly bet Duke at less than +30.

I'm not sure what Boise has returning, haven't researched it yet. But...FSU is a trainwreck. I'm not sure Taggert makes it to year 3. -4.5 seems awfully generous for a team that went 5-7 and doesn't look to be any better in 2019.

Florida by 8.5 vs. Miami seems like too many points. UF will be breaking in a new OL (3.5 new starters, 1 kid has 7 career starts) and Miami still has a talented roster (top 15 or so). I expect UF's offense to struggle a bit while the new OL works out the kinks. The 14.5 over Tennessee seems generous too; early season, likely a closer game.

I like Texas getting 7 or more against LSU. That's a home game for the Horns and they are so excited that they recently informed LSU that UT would not honor ANY tickets for sale to LSU fans. They will only offer ticket sales to VIP and player families.

I also like Auburn +7.5 against LSU. That game is always close and I believe Auburn will be much improved this year.

Give me LSU +17 against the Tide.

I love Notre Dame getting double digits against Georgia.

Pete, I like LSU in the Texas matchup. Keep in mind the Longhorns do not return
its leading rusher, leading receiver, 3 offensive linemen that were honorable mention
All-Conference, their top 3 tacklers on the DL, and 3 of their top DBs.

I'm thinking you 'might' be selling the Tigers a little short. With an experienced and
talented QB and the usual good defense...LSU will be a tough out this year.

I get it.....but I'm advising anyone to lay a TD on the road in "the people's Republic of Austin" for the season opener
