[h=3]Why Todd McShay Doesn’t Believe Patriots Will Reach Super Bowl In 2019 Season[/h]by Adam London on Tue, Apr 30, 2019 at 7:02AM in New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have represented the AFC in the Super Bowl the past three seasons and four of the last five.
But while Todd McShay believes the Patriots will continue their division dominance in the upcoming NFL season, he doesn’t like their chances of reaching Super Sunday yet again.
The veteran draft guru joined ESPN’s “First Take” on Monday to discuss a number of intriguing post-draft storylines, including the Patriots. McShay thinks New England will be “vulnerable” in the 2019 campaign, as the ESPN analyst believes Tom Brady’s game finally has started to decline.

I don't like the hook, I'd bet 11 but NOT 12

Every team is vulnerable every year, the best you can hope for is to me in the mix and the Patriots will be in the mix

The running game carried a ton more weight in 2018, especially the post season, I expect that trend to continue. The defense was also pretty dominant in the post season, I think they to will be pretty good in 2019.

Belichick has won differently over the years, I trust he'll find a way to compete

PS: Yes, Brady is past his prime, I still wouldn't trade him for anybody

Every year for the past few several sports pundits claim that Brady is in decline.

I've seen absolutely no evidence of that. They are all hitching their wagons to the improbability of effectiveness at his age. Where has the ineffectiveness manifest itself? It hasn't.

even though I believe he is slightly off each season, he gets the job done. But it's bound to happen someday

I also agree with others, 11 is a much safer number. you don't need to win 12 games to win the AFC East

Id say OVER. Looking at their Schedule, they dont play a team that made the playoffs last season till week 11.

By far the easiest schedule in the NFL this year.

Over.

The Patriots will go an average of 12-4 the next seven seasons, winning the Super Bowl a few more times.

Seven more years from now, Brady will still be the starting QB at 50 and everyone will doubt him every year until then.

That would be damn impressive. As ridiculous as it sounds at first glance, can you really doubt him? Love him or hate him, he's made it his life's mission to prove people wrong, and he's done it time after time.

Hoping the Patriots get more doubters. All the more motivation for Brady.
