For the next 24 hours all you are going to hear about is the fact that for the second game in a row Virginia is lucky to still be alive. Yes they are lucky and they are still here like it or not. Virginia is really starting to look like a team of destiny aren’t they? From the only team to lose to a #16 seed last year to National Champions this year what a story that would be. Two months ago on our Las Vegas Radio Show I said Virginia was my team to win it all and nothing has changed to make me feel any different. Yes Texas Tech looked great yesterday knocking off Michigan St but Michigan St couldn’t shoot the ball in the ocean hitting only 31% of their shots. Yes the Texas Tech defense had a lot to do with that but Virginia’s defense is just as good. Virginia let a 10 point lead slip away as they were just 3 of 9 from the foul line before Kyle Guy hit all 3 foul shots for the win. Virginia is playing with house money as they could of lost either of the last two games but they didn’t and they found a way to win. If this game is tight late huge advantage goes to Virginia after the way they won the last two games. Everyone will point out Virginia blew 10 point lead but fact is so did Tech as they went 5 mins without scoring a point that let Michigan St come back before pulling away at the end. Note that Virginia on the road this season is a PERFECT 6-0 ATS following a win and no cover, winning those games by an average of 11 points per game. My numbers have Virginia cutting down the nets on Monday Night as I have them winning by 5-7 points.
