Virginia had multiple fortitious victories, TT had none

Virginia didn't beat anyone's picks to win it all. OR was a good 12 seed, Purdue scares nobody in March. Auburn didn't even have their best player

Tech beat three teams often picked to win it all. MI, MI St and the Zags. And Tech won more impressively against better competition

Does this guarantee a Tech win? Of course not, I'm not a "lock" guy. But it helps make my point that Tech is playing like the better team right now.

Virginia can win, but I think the Red Raiders do

I agree .... this team dismantles with consistent pressure .... I’m just wondering how much the injury to Owens will affect?

Agree.

Also, it's last 9 games TT, has POUNDED the spread, had one let-down, beat a lot of top notch teams, bad. Before the NCAA's they won the Big 12, always a top hoops conference.

VA has had a lot of trouble covering, have been overrated by Vegas and the public, as has the ACC in this tourney, ACC favorites have not covered.

The Tariq Owens injury, to me, though, is potentially a key. We all saw how he landed (damn), he was in a boot yesterday. Bigs that get hurt on Saturday, wear a boot on Sunday... do they play at 100% on Monday? I doubt we will really know how he really is until he either sits, or gets out there and plays (or "tries" to play), and we see...

Texas Tech men's basketball coach Chris Beard told ESPN's Allison Williams that he expects starting forward Tariq Owens to play in Monday's national championship game but will have a better idea on Monday after treatment and rest. Owens sprained his ankle after falling awkwardly in the second half of Saturday night's win over Michigan State. He was assisted to the locker room but came sprinting out of the tunnel later in the game. He re-entered the game with 6:52 remaining but went back to the bench at the 5:38 mark. Owens wasn't made available to the media on Sunday afternoon but was seen wearing a walking boot on his right foot at U.S. Bank Stadium. He didn't practice on Sunday. Beard told Williams that if it was a normal Saturday-to-Monday turnaround, Owens probably would not play.

Agree, Virginia can only argue they are 'DESTINED' due to lucky wins. So one might think it will culminate w/ a NATTY. I disagree and have watched how Tech has proven game after game past month they are better team Defensively and have proven by who they've beaten.

Emotional factor as I've mentioned in another thread...VAGINA knew they lost that game vs ALLBARN...dejected, then the MIRACLE and emotional high. Don't see a recovery to play their best. Almost think their downfall will be coming out flat and not being able to recover. Either blowout or close to my Tech or just a good game win and somewhat close Tech wins.

Give me points and Tech. The total alone tells you how this barn burner (NOT) is going to be played out.
