Not... (you should know I do not do that kind of nonsense).

I am probably going to pass.

PF Tariq Owens in a boot yesterday, they may not tell us the truth about him with the old "game time decision" thing, so

1) he might sit,
2) he might play and be ineffective,
3) he might play and be himself, be a huge factor.

If it was not for his situation I would play TT, BIG.

But I am not going to bet on the health of a key 6'10" power forward who got hurt on Saturday and wore a boot on Sunday and the game is Monday.

Even if they say he is OK, he still might wind up being #3). He might stand in the paint with his hands up, play only a portion of the minutes he usually does, that is it... who knows?

I f'd up and am not going to be somewhere where I can see the game until the 2nd half, I would want to see the first few minutes if he plays and he is himself, aggressive, blocking shots, coming down on that ankle with reckless abandon, then wager "in game". I would want to see that before I go with TT but will not be able to do so.

IMO without him TT could still eek out a win, but VA is very solid, I am not interested.

SO I will pass unless I get wind of something about Owens that is very reliable and conclusive (doubt it will happen).

When I read the subject heading I thought to myself, "oh boy! This could be the insight I need to make this the play of the tournament for me." Then I read what you wrote and had a chuckle. I should have known you wouldn't hype your play on this game that much. ESPN is reporting he will play, but I doubt he is effective. If you've ever sprained your ankle, even at 20 years old, and your game is dependent on extreme athleticism, this injury will make him slower at best, ineffective at worst. Even with a hobbled Owens, I think tech's offense is better than UVA and the defense is equal except Tech has better athletes(in my opinion).

Sure, they will say he is playing so that VA will not really know, but even if he does play, like you say, it is unlikely he will be 100%. Hell, he might be OK, but I am not gambling that he is...
