i'm starting to believe Rory's mental outlook/approach is indeed changing. He stated to start the yr, the mental approach needs to change- for too long a prisoner in his own mind. I see a change in him on the course. He doesnt beat himself up so much , better body language, his post-round choice of words is changing. Last yr in Sunday's final pairing expectations were abound. Opening tee shot? about 40 yds off line into the trees, lucky to even find the ball. Melted Sunday, yet again. He recently acknowedged that he was afraid of not winning. NO WAY a Champion thinks that way

Folks out at No. 5 Monday said, with tee markers all the way back (still rustic little logs and not moon rocks; I checked) it was playing 505 yards, into a stiff wind from an approaching storm front.
“It’s a monster,” said two-time Masters champion and golf course architect Ben Crenshaw. “I played it (Sunday) and I hit driver and 3-wood and I was still 60-70 yards short of the green. @)
