One Nevada bettor is going all in on the possibility of Tiger Woods winning this week's Masters. And by all in, we really mean all in—doing so in a way that would result in a record payday from one sportsbook.
William Hill, the London-based casino conglomerate that operates 115 sports books in Nevada and others in states across the country, accepted a $85,000 bet on Tiger Woods to win the Masters at 14-1 from a customer in one of its Nevada books on Tuesday afternoon. We'll save you the math: The payout would be $1,190,000, which now accounts for the largest liability on a single wager in William Hill's U.S. history.

It must be nice to have so much money that you can throw 85k on something that has maybe a 5% chance of winning. That's more money than most people make in a year !

Think again...... hahahahaha

Tiger and Jack.....1 and 1A....

As much as I loved watching Tiger win today, I still think Jack is 1 and Tiger 1A. Jack was best of his era and Tiger best of this era, but Jack’s 18 still ahead by 3 in my book.

Makes you wonder if the wager was real...
William Hill is pretty much known as a chicken shit book that doesn't take a stand and throws out plenty of sharp bettors. Only thing i can think is if this guy they took the bet from has been a big loser in their place and they wanted to keep him happy and playing with them.

At least there is no argument....we both know that they were the greatest.....and I was a big Arnold Palmer fan growing up.....always rooted for him vs Jack...

I was an Arnie fan also. I knew Jack was better but always rooted for Arnie. Saw both play in person a few times as a kid. Great win for Tiger and the game of golf today.
