WASHINGTON – The revelation late Thursday that the White House tried multiple times to
pressure immigration authorities into releasing migrants on the streets of sanctuary
cities did not go over well with Democrats, who denounced the Trump administration as cruel.

The plan, reported by the Washington Post, was concocted to retaliate against Democrats and
target sanctuary cities in liberal strongholds. It didn't come to fruition after pushback
from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Post reported. ICE rejected the idea
after at first thinking it was a joke, the Post reported.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's district was specifically targeted, according to the Post, noting
that the White House wanted to transport migrants into her congressional district in San Francisco.

Ashley Etienne, a spokeswoman for Pelosi, called the proposal "despicable."

Oh I see how this works. The Democrats brag about how they welcome immagrants and want to protect
them against the evil Trump administartion except when it's in their own backyard. They're nothing
more than a bunch of deceiving imposters.

The immigrants that arrived, up until the mid 1900's, were different, and we were a different country.

they had to fend for themselves, no freebies: there was no welfare, food stamps, Sec 8 housing, and healthcare costs were very low, so the existing population did not have to pay taxes to support them
there was not crime comparable to what they bring in today (>35,000 violent crimes convictions by illegals 2018 ICE figures)
no hard drugs of significance were brought in
USA was in an unprecedented growth period: farmland for all, then steel, automobiles, railroads, skyscrapers, highways, etc
no weapons of mass destruction could be brought in, there were no terrorists vowing to take down the USA
European immigrants came from successful societies: organized governments, complex big businesses, they farmed & stored their crops, invented, had sophisticated art and music, organized effective military's, had Judeo-Christian family values... etc

Completely different.

They should all, for example, cite the ICE convictions on violent crime, over and over, every one of them, until people hear it and understand it.

SO, IMO they are not really trying.

Even Trump does not deliver the message effectively, at all.

They are not hippies that went to journalism school and are open minded and overly idealistic.

It is something much more significant, formidable, dark. 98% of the media/press is radical far left, driving the same coordinated message all day and all night. This is not because the media is "liberal".

Fox News is allowed to offer an opposition opinion to make conservatives feel OK, but only a few million people see it every night, out of, what, 125,000,000 voters? So we have a false sense of security watching it.

I have to tell you guys for as much as Trump has done for the country and it is significant,
I'm getting a little tired of his shtick. He says he wants to send illegals to sanctuary cities.

Great, so what's stopping him? If he would have bused a couple thousand to San Fran and then
announced it he would have got his point across. Threats don't do any good if you're not
willing to follow through. Don't write a check with your mouth that your ass can't cash.
