Well the flyers officially cut ties with kate Smith today after the Yankees did it yesterday. Covering up the kait smith statue and no more god bless America Collabs before the game.
I guess they uncovered ‘racist’ songs she made from the 30’s lol. Even the dead aren’t safe from there past

That is a shame. Always love hearing God Bless America and prefer it to our national anthem. Hope no one takes away Oh Canada. One of the only reasons I will sometimes tune in to the beginning of a hockey game involving a team from Canada.
Wonder why the Boston Marathon is still around. They did not allow women to run officially until 1972. Since Boston removed the name Yawkey Way you'd think they'd end the marathon !!! LOL

god bless america itself isn't banned, just kates rendition. Ive been a life long flyers fan and Her version was dynamite. She use to be there good luck charm and they'd break out the kate smith version for a big playoff game and the crowd would go nuts. Ed Schneider must be rolling around in his grave
