I think they got a hell of a steal here, with him falling right into their lap.

With Flacco hopefully only playing for them in 2019, they would be forced to pay Flacco $20million to play in 2020.

They are able to somehow grab this guy in round #2, and give him a year of development before letting Mr. Cap Space rob them for $20million next season. Still have to pay Flacco his $18.5 this year, but there are a lot worse QB's Lock could have developed under, or be shoved onto the field right away.

IMO, a great pickup by the Broncos.... best QB in the draft imo... Right height, good fundamentals, great arm strength, loves the pocket. Elway and Company hit a Home Run here

Agree. Fell right into their lap midway through the second round. I'll bet they're ecstatic.

Had to trade up a spot to grab him, but worth it!

He fell for a reason.

Elway is a horrible QB evaluator. Says history.

Impossible to really evaluate QB's until they are in a regular season game anyway. It's a crapshoot.

The NFL QB position is all about how fast you can process information. That can't be replicated in college.

True, but a 4 year starter, with the right height and arm strength, who loves the pocket but can also move and sense pressure is a solid base to learn at the NFL level.

Id wager someone dinner here in Vegas he turns out to be an above average starter or greater in the NFL within the next 3 years

I was excited to see where this kid would land... and he landed on a decent organization that wants to win and isnt in FULL TIME "Whatever" mode (Jets, Bills, Dolphins, Bengals, etc)

It's not a bad pick. It was worth a shot. They need a young QB to develop and hope it pans out.

I wouldn't bet too much on it happening though.

Far better pick than Jones at #6. I don't think Miami is going to pick up a useful QB. They are going to take the season to get Trevor Lawrence next year. The best bet on the board will be Miami total wins under the total event though you will be paying juice on what probably will be 5.5 or 5. I'd bet it as low as four.

The Broncos have started Trevor Siemian, Brock Assweiler and Paxton Lynch over the last two years.

What do they have to lose? How can it get any worse?

Trevor Lawrence has two more years at Clemson. He isn't eligible to be drafted until April of 2021.

Miami might trade for Rosen, if the Cards are looking to

How many QB's has Elway drafted / traded for?

I'm thinking about two per year, LOL

It will be funny if the Dolphins are the worst team in football because if that's the case they'll most likely be trading Rosen a year from now to draft Tua or Herbert.

This guy is never gonna have a 2nd contract to restructure

Will have a far better career than Kyler Murray and Haskins and it won’t be close.

haskins is getting ready to have an extremely horrible career.

Everything is stacked against him. Besides being too stupid to be an nfl qb, he has inept ownership, bad line play and a 44 year old running back. Combine with by time year 2 rolls around he will be on offense #2.

A lot of his Great stats at Ohio state came on crossing
Patterns by receivers with 4.39 speed making plays. Urban Meyer always has good COLLEGE qbs that transition horribly to the NFL.

Alex Smith? On what basis do you call Haskins stupid?
