Sad day here in downtown Seattle. A crane comes down in 2 lanes of Mercer St. kills only 4

It could have been much worse. It crushed 6 cars. 2 of the crane operators were killed and 2 people were crushed to death in their car. A 25 year woman and 4 month baby were very lucky. Crane crushed the passenger side where it was empty. 2 more were lucky. You have to feel for the families who lost their loved ones today. More info to come. It happened at 3:28 PT

I was once told that I think like an insurance guy.... as I do death calculations on everything.

If you steer a crane 20 stories up or are a cop on the beat, you know any day you go to work could be your last on the planet.

If you drive a motorcycle, you're asking for it.

I could go on and on and on. Just common sense.

Call me crazy, but whenever I'm close to a crane I constantly calculate angles and timing in the event of a fall.

But when the Grim Reaper gonna get you, it's your time.

The 2 people that died in their cars. Never saw it coming. Traffic was stopped at a red light. Here comes the crane coming down and crunch. Very sad indeed. Watching the news soon.
