No more horses = no more wins

No Duncan and Co. and he'll be getting no rings. No one quits faster than Phil Jackson when the cupboard is bare, but Popovich won't last long with teams that are destined to lose.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him quit after one more year of losing (coming up next year).

He'll probably keep his Hillary Clinton and John Podesta altar up in his mansion, though.

Maybe a coach on his bench who wasn't a woman would have called for the foul? In his press conference he blamed it on the players, but the video tape showed him, and others, standing and watching and Pop wasn't saying a word. Probably was happy to be out of the playoffs so he can party with AOC.

Not a fan of Pop but he was calling for a foul and apparently his player(s) didn't hear him.

He shouldn't have even HAD to ask his players to foul, they should have had enough common sense to.

Yeah I didn't watch the replay but in real time it felt like he was yelling for a foul right at the beginning and Aldridge was like "ehhh, no, we're good", and then Pop just basically said "fuck it" and gave up.

Agreed players should have known.

Not complaining as I had spurs + points but it was definitely strange. It would have been strange in a regular season game much less the postseason much LESS a game 7.

I think it's ridiculous a coach should even have to tell a player what to do in a situation like this. Why the hell should anyone blame him? A grammar school player could have figured that out.

Was perplexed no foul at the end last night

The only thing I can think of that makes any sense is that they thought they were down 3. Other than that I have no clue, there was 28 seconds left when Jokic got the rebound, mindboggling that can happen any time let alone in a Game 7.

When Mills didn't foul with 15 seconds left it would have been funny to watch Pop run out onto the court and foul the guy, getting a Technical would have been better than letting them run out the clock.

The video on ESPN starts six seconds into the shot clock. That's when the coach waves his arms toward the guy with the ball. Just like every other coach in the league, usually the foul sign is made by the bench immediately. Regardless, luck for SAS backers and thinking Portland takes Denver in the next round.

NBA is the biggest joke in all of sports right now. Can't believe stupid fans (basically dumb white sheep) buy the tickets and cheer them on. The game digressed so much so that regular season games became scrimmages and then there would effort in the playoffs. Now the playoffs are a "play if I want to" kind of scenario for players who give even less fucks. It's kind of hilarious.

If a team is down by 7 late in a regular season game... it's game over. We might show up for the next one.

One could argue that the players not knowing what to do and executing it falls on the coaching staff.
Who's job is it to have the players ready for these types of situations?
Should have been discussed and reiterated, and then stated a third time for good measure in the timeout prior.

Popovich should be deported to his native Yugoslavia and since that fell; put him in a labor camp and his old zits in another

Surprised by all the Pop hate. He almost had a huge 2 - 7 upset with a bunch of scrub players!

This series only adds to his resume

I don't particularly like him, but there's no denying

Popovich is one of the best coaches in the league. You clearly don't know the NBA.

This Spurs team is not good and has a shit roster yet he took this very good Denver team to game 7? Even making the playoffs was a feat.

Way to go POP!

If a team is down 7 late in a regular season game it's game over? How much basketball do you watch? I've seen many many teams come back and win down 7 or more late. What league do you watch?

Idiotic thread.

Finally some sensible and objective comments.

This guy knows what he's talking about.
