From Mlive.com;
It’s that time of the year again.
For a third straight spring, Jim Harbaugh is taking his Michigan football team overseas. The Wolverines depart Thursday -- after players finish final exams -- and will spend a week in South Africa, exploring the scenic resort town of Cape Town and Johannesburg.Like last year, no practices are scheduled. Michigan used up all 15 of its NCAA-allotted sessions in March and April, in Ann Arbor, and will use this trip strictly as a sightseeing excursion. There is one small football clinic planned in Cape Town during the week stay.

“They bring the current team together,” starting left guard Ben Bredeson said last April during Michigan’s trip to France. "We just went through spring ball together. Now this is our last push together before the summer, when we go our own ways. We’re all on campus, but there’s not (much) organization other than lifts.“This is just the biggest team camaraderie event I’ve ever seen. I think it’s really important to next year.”

Good for Jimmy. While his players are on vacation touring the world, Ohio State
players are at home lifting weights, running, throwing and catching the ball.

I forget...what's Jimmy's record against Ohio State?

I think its a GREAT recruiting tool that Harbaugh does this.

Telling a recruit that he has an all expenses paid trip to another country when MOST of these kids probably never have left the country and some may have never traveled anywhere??

But i do agree, if Jimmy cant beat OSU, then there may not be many more of these trips in the near future!!

Lifting weights, running, throwing the ball, smoking weed in the park, firearms in the vehicle, assaulting women, punching a girl in the face at bar while underage. Yeah, all that stuff that football players do over the summer.

That's like saying, When Nick stranded his players in his boat the other team was lifting weights, throwing the ball...…………….really?

If Harbaugh loses to Ohio State again this year, he will still have his job. No "standing on the gallows with all hell about to break loose".

Vegas, you sound like CNN making excuses for Hillary Clinton losing to Trump.

I forget...what's Jimmy's record against Ohio State?

Gosh, I had forgotten all about that Clover, now that my memory is refreshed, Trump really did give Hillary a real ass-whopping.....I wonder if she, Clinton, went to any Razorback games when she was living in Little Rock....They say Bill couldn't keep his eyes off the cheerleaders.....

What EXCUSES? I see no excuses. What I do see is deflecting to politics. One place I will not go!

To answer your failing memory, I believe "Jimmy" has yet to have a team that beat Ohio State. I'm confident, he'll get there.

By the way, team Michigan is back home now, lifting weights, throwing the ball, etc, etc.

Outrageous.
I am a huge sports fan, but taking 60 (or more ?) players plus staff on a trip like this... what are our priorities?

What a waste of $$. Taking the homeboys to the zoo is a little bit ironic

With Winter fast approaching in the Southern Hemisphere (South Africa) Harbaugh might want to give some of his players, especially those coming from the South, some ""cold weather" exposure so they can cope with the winter winds that will blow in Ann Arbor next November, coaches now days, will play every angle to win......
