In 2020, we are going to have 3 new bowl games.

1 in boston at fenway park (acc vs aac)
1 in Myrtle Beach
1 in Los Angeles

We will now have 43 bowl games where i believe that 65% of NCAA teams will make a bowl game.

I wonder how many 5 win teams will make it to a bowl??

These Bowl games are like junk mail; they just keep coming. As long as there are organizing
groups willing to take the financial risk of holding lower-tier games, this isn't likely to change.
ESPN is more than willing to have the additional programing.

Last year the Frisco Bowl drew 11,000 fans, Bahama Bowl 13,000, Gasparilla Bowl 14,000,
Camellia Bowl 17,000, Idaho Potato Bowl 18,000, Cure Bowl 19,000. Hell, the Cure Bowl
is in Orlando with tons of attractions for fans. The old standard Gator Bowl only drew 38,000
with Texas A&M and North Carolina State matchup.

I don't care if they have Bowl games for every team. I don't watch these shit Bowls.

A joke, NCAA should reduce bowl games 33% or so, some of these teams have no credibility to be in the post season.
But sponsors will pay for the TV, so here we go!

Just read that the Cure bowl was moved from the citrus bowl (which holds 65k) to the soccer stadium in orlando (which holds 23k).

Unless you are a fan of the team, who really wants to go out of their way (and pay money) to see the 5th best team from the AAC play the 5th best team from the sun belt?

The only people watching the game anyways are the people who have money on the game or those in college bowl pools as the Cure Bowl is 1 of the first games on the schedule

Thanks for the info, and I love betting on bowls and I am FAR better at it than I was five years ago, but who's going to fill those spots?

The Boston Bowl will be an ACC team vs an AAC team
The Myrtle Beach Bowl will have 2 teams either from CUSA, MAC, or Sunbelt
The bowl in Los Angeles will be between the PAC 12 and Mountain WEst conference. This was the Las Vegas Bowl matchup. The new Las Vegas Bowl matchup (for the next 6 years) will consist of a PAC 12 team vs either a Big 10 or SEC team. I believe this starts in 2020.

I know its WAY early but i am curious to know how an SEC team will fair playing out west in the cold. Doesnt happen much.

Bowl games are probably the most overrated game in sports....most games have to be identified as whether the team is even interested in being there..or some dumb fuck in the studio telling us how important the game is for next year... If I have to watch a game this year for its importance for next year , I'm not interested

Bowl games are pretty fun to go to if your team is playing in the game (the events leading up to the game and the post parties are a lot of fun)

There are also a few games that you can "snuff out" and make a nice profit on

However, i do agree that overall, bowl games suck (if your team isnt playing and have no skin in the game).

College football has the best regular season and the worst post season

There's probably a correlation. I'll take that tradeoff for three months of meaningful games. To channel Huey Long: Every game a championship!

Why the **** would I want to beat Alabama to prove (theoretically) that I'm better than 100+ teams that I didn't play? I want to beat Alabama. Period.

I want to beat my rivals, and for the most part those contests are played in the regular season.

100% agree

Each week of the 14 weeks of the college football season is pure drama and entertainment!!

Starting with gameday at 10am and whatever west coast game ends at 130 am.

Funny b/c on most of those 14 saturdays (until 5-6 pm), i am either working, on vacation, or at the fields with my kids but I am usually always tuned in with whats going on with college football.

For any other sport I can tune out and not really care whats going on in the sport and not go out of my way to see whats going on
