If Trump does this, I am going to take him to the woodshed and beat him!!

This is excessive spending and NOT what the country actually needs. I see this as a cash windfall at taxpayer expense for politicians "pet projects". Im going to state on record that MOST of this money will be siphoned into Democrat controlled cities that they are already overspending on and getting nothing in return.

Well I did see where Trump extended an olive branch the other day to Pelosi wanting to get "something" accomplished.

States should fix their own infrastructure, it isn't the federal governments responsibility. These fiscal stimulus programs just put us more into debt and a lot of the $ does go to those with the best political connections.

Rein in the spending, don't let spending reign supreme :)

aaah good ol stimulus

started at $200B then was $550B then $1T then $1.5T and now $2T

let's let taxpayers upgrade the electrical grid on the power company's behalf and then gouge us some more in our monthly bills for the privilege of using the service we just built

In theory it's good, but I doubt the execution of it will be

I want spending cuts too, but in different areas. One of the few responsibilities our federal government has "constitutionally" is infrastructure, along with national security, monetary policy and a postal service.

Our federal government is not supposed to be a nanny state, and that's where the vast majority of excessive spending and fraud and waste are found.

Our founding fathers were brilliant, we're now a nation of fucking idiots

If infrastructure needs to be fixed then do it on a case by case basis and let the states decide what they want to fix, then the fed gov't can give them support rather than a vague all-encompassing 2 trillion dollar bill.

It won't go anywhere anyway but as a matter of theory we've been down this road before.

Building the wall is a far greater priority.

Hopefully this horrible plan has much life as "Russia collusion"

It will turn out the same way his meetings with Kim Jong-un did. I would think Trump has learned his lesson.

Tiny has consistently spent more as a business owner than what his businesses earned, thus the six bankruptcies which collectively stiffed investors out of billions.

He has been unable to get financing from a North American bank for almost 20 years now

But good news is he is giving a close eye to developing beachfront properties in North Korea and his handler Vladdy Putin is still dangling Trump Tower Moscow.....He just might create a profitable business yet

well if you had any consistency in your beliefs you'd be saying this is the first thing Trump has done right in his presidency since there is no doubt you were rimjobbing Obama for doing the same thing.

your derangement syndrome runs deep when you don't even like him practicing Obamanomics

Well, maybe the same thing. But in all likelihood very different.

Obama used the 787 billion dollar Recovery and Reinvestment act (unfunded stimulus) for shovel ready jobs that he later admitted were not quite shovel ready. That's over 15 billion per state. That's 15,000 million dollar projects to break it down into more understandable terms. Did any of you see that kind of big money spent in your state on infrastructure projects? That money went into corrupt hands that never held or saw a shovel.

Hopefully Trump finds a way to fund it because we sure do need improvements to our infrastructure in all and any of the older cities and longest populated states. But we also need Trump like oversight of any projects targeted with that money. I trust Trump more than anyone else in the political realm (way, way, way more) with overseeing such a massive spending project.

What cities are those, and what political party is in control there?
