What are some things you regret about how you have lifed your life ?

I'll start with being too picky as to a G/F back in HS, I based it entirely on looks, and missed so many opportunities, being so in focused on looks only !

I made a lot of money ( for a HS kid) , pretty much a full-time union job, permanent early dismissal at 11:14 AM as a junior a decent car, so I was pretty desirable.

So getting a top 10 type GF ,based on looks alone was pretty easy !

Be careful of what you wish for, sometimes it's not really what you want !
No reason I shouldn't have picked a slightly less attractive girl that wasn't a **** !

That's just a start ! I have much more.

Gambled more than I should from something like 1985 - 1995, it consumed my life and my thoughts and my money

I can afford to gamble much more today, and I gamble much less. It controls NOTHING, it consumes NOTHING.

I used to think I was going to supplement my income, improve my life, now I know that was incredibly fucking stupid. I was born with the ability to make money, but I used to throw it all away (and then some)

100% on girlfriends. In High School I really cared about what OTHER people thought about my girlfriend looked like so I would pass on chicks that were ok but not good enough for my or other people's standards. Missed a ton of good opportunities back in the day.

Other one is honestly gambling. Wasted too many nights and weekends watching games because I had money on them and stressing about the outcome big time. I only gamble now once or twice a year in Vegas

I'll join and say girlfriends and gambling.

Many guys would say girlfriends back in high school/college.

We ALL wanted to outkick our coverage and didnt go for the girls who we thought were "below us" (they wanted to outkick their coverage as well).

Been gambling on sports or playing some kind of fantasy sport for over 25 years. Sometimes I wish i had done other constructive things with my life instead. Although i still gamble, i have learned how to manage my life a lot better.

1 other thing is gambling on credit and having POOR money management. After playing offshore for 15 years, i made the switch. Wasnt fun starting out and learned a valuable lesson

The HS thing seems to resonate strongly here. I have something along those lines from only about 2 years ago that tears at me to this day, I'll get to it awhile later, don't even like to think about it too much !

Nothing's worse than realizing you could have bought bitcoin for $1 per coin as there was a guy on this site talking about it back in 2010 when that was the price. Even 4 years later someone was pumping it hard when it was only $200-$300. Damn that could have been so much $$ and the information was sitting right there in front of our faces.

I was very shy in high school. I was in love with this cheerleader her name is Pam. She was the same age as me. She signed in my annual I think you're the cutest boy to bad you're shy. And gave me her phone #. Lol I remember I called her back in the 80s and would hang up on her when she answered the phone. Boy was I stupid. Looking back now. When there was only hand dial phones without caller ID. She still looks hot now at 53. My high school reunion 35th is this year. Not sure if they are having it yet.

Lol. She liked me also. But I was afraid of women back when I was a teen. Wish I could go back now. But she is married now and has a couple kids at the last reunion 5 years ago.

Oh man, I think we can all write a book about how we would like our lives to be different.

Biggest problem with me in my younger days was I was worried about living "in the moment" and not thinking of the future.

Whether it was $, Girls, education - whatever, it was always immediate satisfaction. It wasn't until my late/late twenties, I was able to slow down and gear more of my decisions for the "future me".

Best thing that happened.
