Depends if she has previous children. They may feel better if she
keeps there last name for there sake.

I'm a yes, although I understand it more if the wife is a professional and she uses her name to earn a living

Interesting responses . So far 5-1 saying yes, I'm going to hold off on giving my opinion for awhile.

My cousin married a guy from Europe, but she kept her name cuz she's a regional bank manager. Her husband understood.

That is not allowed.

Girls with hyphenated names are feminist and have no place in the world.

I would let Jessica Alba slide but would have a problem with anyone else. Times are changing so if I was in my 20's I might feel differently but right now I wouldn't like it. Kind of like tattoos, at least 30-40% of the ladies at the gym have some sort of ink. Most of it is small and discreet but not sure how I would feel about it....just getting old I guess

Either she takes your name or she wears the pants and you are a pussy, I wouldn’t get married if my wife didn’t take my name, that’s my take. No hyphenated bullshit either

I totally agree on hyphenated BS !

Let's say Louis Johnson- Smith marries a Hispanic girl named Maria Alverez-Figueroa

Ok then you conceive say a son, and agree on the name Juan, or Steven or whatever
.

What is the last name, you can't have 4 freaking last names !

Steven or Juan Alverez-Figueroa-Johnson-Smith ?

That's just wrong !

This guy callin' it real more and more every day.

This shit has it's origin in feminism propaganda bullshit.... one of the gayest things out there is for a man to take the woman's name.... smh.

Nature has it's roles. A woman is a baby machine and a nurturer.... it's literally what her goddamn physiology was designed for.

With this feminism shit they want to teach a young woman to be a whore, be a male and have the right to kill the baby inside her..

My wife kept her maiden name. I told her to do so lol.

She has a cool last name, I have a not so cool last name.

Happily married 23 years, mostly cause neither of us wears pants.

i'm older so i've always thought it was expected for the woman to take the gentlemen's last name . i guess i could live with a hyphenated name ... it wouldn't be the end of the world so to speak , i mean i could live with say ..... sarah palin - ( my last name ) or angelina jolie - ( my last name ) , etc, etc..... wouldn't bother me one bit :hahahahah i understand some woman do it for professional reasons like actresses / artists & so forth

We know who wears the pants in your relationship. Are you a liberal?

It would bother me

However my wife asked me if she could keep her maiden name ONLY when it comes to her career as her name is known. I told her it wasn’t a problem (and doesn’t bother me at all)
