Almost showtime. They rig the draws as always.

Fucking bastards did not put Kyrgios with Nadal. Instead they put him against Djokovic... if they advance.

Some matchups.

Djok ONLY -1700 vs Hurkacz ?
Fognini -700 vs Seppi
Klizan -165 vs Kuku ???? wtf?
Delpo -400 vs Jarry
Garin -250 vs Opelka

Just some of the matches. Listed fave prices.

If there is ever a lock in the tournament, it is Garin beating Opelka. Absolute guarantee.

No kidding.

Nadal could not have gotten an easier draw in a tournament he will likely dominate anyway.

Have always said it is easier to win a grand slam than a master series.

Day off after every match, likely only have to beat 3 top 15 opponents vs often times beating 4 top 20 players in master series because of byes.

Nadal essentially has a bye to the 3rd round and the weakest top 8 player is in his quarter.

Very interesting point. Your point might bear out as there's been realistically 3 or 4 slam winners in the last 10 years..... as opposed to a variety of winners for the 1000's.

I cant beleive Gulbis is still playing

Guy "was" talented.

Wonder how good he could've been if he was trained properly.

I remember when he was blasting Nadal 6-0 or some shit like that on clay... If he had been trained with a fighting spirit, he would've beat Nadal that day.

Goddamn forgot to bet on Garin...... up 1-0 sets. Son of a bitch!

Medvedev blowing 2-0 sets lead. One of the few players on the outside that could maybe give Nadal a test.... but doubt he'll make it to that round with Nadal.

Nadal is cakewalk city to the finals it seems.

Nadals easy draw is already opening up even more.

2 seeds in his round of 16 section lost today.

Goffin may be the only seed he faces until the semi's

Garin could be a future star, try.

The line in Garin's next match says it all. Wawa only a -185 fave. I would've taken Garin against virtually anybody in the 2nd round.... but have to give pause b/c this is a former French winner and multiple slam winner. That being said, I've got Garin winning this at +160.

However, since I can't play it with conviction, I can't play it strong. Will likely do a live hedge out for guaranteed profit. Expect Garin to win the 1st set.

It might simply be too early for Garin .... with regards to a long winning streak at the French. He had the giant Opelka, then Wawa, then Cilic/Dimi.... and then Tsits.... he has the hardest draw in the tourney.

But he is just beginning.

Tue thoughts.... Basically mostly shit.

Monfils is talented.... and Taro is pure trash. -7.5 line. Monfils probably gang banging 5 hos the night before the match.... so he'll somehow make it a 3-1 match against Taro, who he should just obliterate.

Khachanov -9 h-cap? Way too much. Don't care if he's playing president Taft.

F.Lopez > Karlovic.... -235 .... -2.5 is -125. Love the -2.5 at that price.

Man, Zverev is just not right mentally. Don't know if it's b/c he's a millenial..... a lot of these young players got the tools but they're like mentally ... shit, maybe an embryo.

Supposedly this French channel has the best highlights.

Zverev blew a two set lead and had to finish it in the fifth. This is setting up for a major fade on Zverev somewhere down the road. This happens all the time. Maybe he'll be a -300 fave and -6.5 on the spread or something.... and lose outright and win by a hair.... and the play the whole time will be the spread.... which cover easily and be the easiest thing in the world.

Just have to find the right spot.

Remember when dimitrov was a borderline top 5 player. These guys get to the top 10 and fade. Thiem or stepasis will be the next non big 3 to win a major. And conditions will still need to be right. Novak hurt, Federer skipping and Nadal losing early

You are making some great analysis, GO.

I honestly feel bad for Dimi. The guy is a good guy. Fully committed. He puts in lots of work. But in the end maybe just a hype train. Although, to be honest, as players develop later nowadays... any player can catch a spark and convert to the next level. Not likely or probable at all, but possible. Thus Dimi is probably done, unfortunately.

Thiem.... Tits.... these guys are definitely slam winners, IMO. Tits is the one, IMO. Guy gets multiple slams. In four years he will still be very young... and at this young age he can beat Fed, Djok and Nadal.... and has already done so. In four years only Djok will remain... and Tits will likely be ahead of him and better just due to age.

Thiem is way too talented not to get it done. But I have seen him do some diva shit in the slams like Zverev and Dimi... but all that becomes irrelevant if the talent level is extremely high.
