Nova over G'town
NC st. over Phi Slamma Jamma

Most people gave those two underdogs zero chance of winning the title.

i'd forgotten about the Tyson fight--You are right !!

I heard Tyson contracted an STD shortly before the fight and I also heard he was out all night the night before having a wild orgies with a bunch of Japanese woman thinking there was zero chance he could lose to Buster Douglas. Both theories seem believable when you consider how lethargic Tyson appeared to be compared to many of his other fights during that time.

Nothing comes close to the Leicester City Premiership Championship with them starting the season as 5,000-1 longshots.

This is it for me. Having to win 4 in a row against the Yankees seemed completely hopeless. I remember coming out from work to check the score on my car radio and listening to the Yankee announcers on wfan laughing at the red sox and especially red sox nation when it looked like a sweep. When I finally got out of work later I could tell by the tone of their previously arrogant and dismissive voices that the Red Sox must have won. Haha that felt good but nothing like when the Sox actually closed them out and sent them home!

Without a doubt, the 2001 Patriots beating the Rams in the Super Bowl. The media was falling all over themselves anointing the Rams as the super bowl champs and there was no way the Patriots could win. I was all over the Patriots in that game and took a lot of shit saying the Pats were going to win. One of the sweetest wagers I ever did win!

This has to be the biggest surprise. It would be like the 2017 Cleveland Browns winning the Superbowl.
