I hated it at first, thought It was ridicurous, but it sure worked for Tampa Bay, now copied by most teams including my Yankees, it works !

I wasn't a huge fan of the shift either , but it also works

But does it always work ?

Nothing always works, BAS !

The NYY are about as tradional as it gets with their no facial hair, long hair policies

The current starting, uninjured 5 are

Tanaka
Happ
German ( a rookie)
And ? , And ?

This calls for some creativity.since you have 13 or so pitchers plus the Scranton shuffle, why not piece a game together by having an unreliable teliever like a Chad Green throw one inning, then a triple A guy for 4-5 innings, then your better reliviers, it will work in a pinch, not a viable long-term solution, but workable until Dallas Keuchel Dons the pinstripes and bolsters the rotation
