That's in steps from the current $10.10 to $15 by 2023

That's a 50% increase in 4 years, I suspect this big of an increase is just too much too fast and will have the opposite effect of what is intended.

I'm all for some sort of increase but fear this will force businesses to close and lead to higher unemployment, reduced hours, more companies leaving the state/ country, more welfare, food stamps, etc.

What do you say ?

Not too many Nutmeggars here on this site, most seem to be in LV, So-Cal, Fla, CR,etc.

Minimum wage jobs are NOT intended to provide support for a family. Companies like McDonald's want to hire teenagers and they expect high turnover. They're trying to keep their prices down for their consumers. Politicians trying to manage businesses is a recipe for disaster. They have no clue, they're either incredibly naive and / or they're simply buying votes.

The founding fathers wanted us to have the freedom to pursue happiness. That's it, freedom. It's up to you to take advantage of the freedoms you have, nothing should be handed to you.

All the problems these laws create. Real life issues

1) minimum wage jobs will disappear, unemployment in that demographic will increase. When automation becomes cost efficient companies will move to automation.

2) people who can only earn so much money before they lose some benefits, will simply get to work less and keep their incomes the same

3) rising prices will create inflation , making everything available to low income wage earners more expensive. Once again helping to defeat anything politicians think they're accomplishing

4) labor unions get automatic wage increases, further hurting the jobs market and increasing inflationary tendencies

5) one of the things creating the strong job market we're presently enjoying is the lowering the cost of doing business. These policies are going to counteract that progress

Career politicians are stupid clueless fucking idiots

in cities or states that raised min wage to $15/hr and tipped wage to $10/hr

1) 10% closed in the first 3 months
2) 43% let go of employees
3) 77% cut hours and 75% plan to continue cutting hours
4) 80% found less $$ in their paycheck. In Seattle it was $125/mo less, on average
5) tenured employees were not given expected wage increases because they have to hire a newbie at such an inflated rate
6) fast food chains now hustling to implement self-ordering kiosks to take the place of human jobs
7) 50% changed menu while 80% increased prices

... robotics companies are quickly advancing in their food prep robots...by the end of the year they will have burger-and-fries robots able to replace these $15/hr burger flippers and the estimate is a 15-20% rise in profits for the fast food joints. Same with your favorite coffee shop...no longer will you have to deal with one of these baristas who can't appropriate pour a little almond milk into your coffee. You'll order on a screen, choose the ounces of your milk, number of sugars, and coffee will be ready in seconds.

early estimates on food/coffee prep robots is $6/hr job costing ... compare that to $15/hr and it's a no-brainer. Of course at $7.25/hr many restaurants and coffee houses wouldn't see the advantage of the impersonal $6/hr robot but at $15/hr it's a done deal. And, once implemented in higher-level chains the consumer will save on their 15-20% by not tipping the robot

The Berkshires and Gloucester and the Cape

I love Boston too

And can't leave out Patriots Place :)

MGM can't compete with the CT casinos, and we're closer to NYC, but otherwise MA is better

You even legalized pot

My girls had a dance competition in Springfield last month and I was disappointed in the MGM, certainly can't hold a candle to the Woods or Mohegan.
I hadn't been to Mohegan in a longtime, but went to see Blake Shelton there in March, great show and awesome venue.

Love that Wombie rock or whatever they call it with the BJ tables upstairs in the night club....fun stuff
