When my machines had Window 7, and we loved Windows 7, I downloaded a software call "Never 10". It stopped all the requests and automated update attempts which were pissing me off.
This past January I purchased new machines, so now we're on Windows 10. Small learning curve, and I hate learning curves or anything that takes time away from me, but I'm good now.

It has finally completed the update and then there was another behind that which was a small one.
What I NEED to KNOW, is : At some point will I be forced to buy a new computer simply because of Windows downloads... I did find how to look for storage available and I still have 70%..But these type of updates it seems would force me to get a new computer because of updates.... Keeping in mind and I know nothing, that Microsoft says Windows 10 will be the final Windows.. I'm too stupid to understand where this is heading.

Thats why i had to buy a new cpu last year or the year before (cant remember)...I had 524 gb (or something like that) and the windows updates were KILLING my storage. I think i have 1TB for now.
Its the same thing for the iphone. You get more storage but those IOS updates just destroy your storage space
I understand what you're saying....and honestly I'm not computer literate. Does Microsoft make their own computers ? Or--Are they in bed with some computer company? It all doesn't make sense to me unless they do.... I used to get it when then went down the road ow Windows numbers...But if 10 is the last one? Umm
When the windows 10 update was first available a few years ago, my IT sent a mass email to his clients telling us NOT to do the update. When i purchased my new CPU a year or 2 ago, Windows 10 came with it.
I dont think windows 10 will be the last one b/c in the tech field, there is NEVER a "last one" so these companies can take more $$$$ out of us.
All i know is I dread those mornings when i walk into my office and see that a windows update was done and my CPU was restarted
