[h=3]Kevin Durant (calf) has been cleared to practice on Sunday, according to multiple reports.[/h]
Durant will practice with the team and then get some extra work in with the team's younger players after practice. This is the first time he's gotten to this point in his recovery. Kerr did not rule Durant out for Game 5, and the team is hopeful that he will make it through Sunday's workout and be available on Monday. His return may be the only thing that can save the banged-up Warriors from elimination. Stay tuned.

I've been on the Raptors every game. No denying Durant switching sidelines has been a detriment to the Warriors.

Agree...he needed at least 1-2 games to get back in the flow of things before returning to the "Durant" we know. It's possible he comes out and lights it up like he does, but not against this Raptor D highly unlikely. If they can somehow squeeze by this Game 5 and return home they absolutely have a shot at winning 3 straight. If they go into Game 7 with Durant having 2 games back...Clay/Looney healthier...they have their "full" squad they will win Game 7 in Toronto. That's my two cents. I think the pressure is more on Toronto in Game 5 as they do not want this going farther knowing Durant is coming back. Let's face it Durant is a game changer like him or hate him....when healthy he's a freak of nature on the basketball court

I think he may play a great game on adrenaline alone in game 5. Then returns to earth and looks rusty in game 6

Or maybe that's just wishful thinking. Sometimes it's hard to differentiate between reasoning and gambling

More like if GS signs LBJ

The Raptors crumble at just the site of Lebron

[h=1]Report: Kevin Durant Starting in Finals Game 5 After Participating in Shootaround[/h]Kevin Durant will be in the starting lineup for Game 5 of the NBA Finals Monday, Monte Pool of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Warriors Coach Steve Kerr told reporters Durant was a game-time decision after he went through shootaround earlier in the day, but there was still uncertainty if Durant would be on the court for the potential-season-ending contest in Toronto, which will be played at 9 p.m. ET.
Kerr told reporters Durant "looked good" in practice and if he plays in Game 5, there will be no minutes restriction.
Golden State has been without the reigning two-time Finals MVP for its last nine postseason games since he strained his calf in Game 5 of their second-round series against the Rockets, but only the Raptors have been able to take advantage of Durant's absence. After winning five straight games without Durant—a series-clinching victory in Houston and a sweep of the Trail Blazers in the Western Conference finals—the Warriors have struggled against Toronto and are now down 3-1 in the championship series.
With Durant on the sideline throughout the series, talk of his injury and the possible return has almost overshadowed the actual play on the court at times. It was reported that Durant's workout prior to Golden State's Game 4 loss did not go well. However, he participated in practice on Sunday, went through some additional work with younger players and had his status for the game updated to questionable.

Still, there has been a conversation about just how hurt Durant is and whether or not he should be trying to push himself more and play through the strained calf. Sam Amick of The Athletic reports that after Game 4 "irritation grew" in the locker room "in large part because they simply didn’t understand why [Durant] wasn't there" after there was "real hope" he'd return for that contest. This comes after Klay Thompson, Kevon Looney and DeMarcus Cousins all returned this postseason from what appeared to be major injuries.
In 11 games this postseason, Durant has averaged 34.2 points on 51.3% shooting and 41.6% shooting from three. He is also contributing 5.2 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 1 block per game.

Even a rusty Durant is better then his replacement. Even if his shot is off from being rusty. He is still a 6'11" athletic swingman who plays good D and helps spread the court.

Not too mention the Warriors are champs, despite looking beaten the last couple games, I wouldn't put it past them to win three straight even without Durant.

They don't look nearly as hopeless as the Cavs when they were down 3-1 or the Red Sox vs Yanks when they were down 3-0.
