10th Amendment of the Constitution gives them the power to do this. From the "No Shit" department: Many people are against both the Constitution and states rights.

Democrats want to abolish it because it's the one system that can't be manipulated but there is no way the least populous states will vote for an amendment that eliminates their voice in presidential elections.

Nothing would be abolished and no amendments would be added or changed. The Constitution gives states a certain number of electorates and each state decides how those electorates will vote.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Popular_Vote_Interstate_Compact It is a group of states working together outside of the reach of the federal government, as protected by the Constitution. Sort of like a United States. A lot of people hate the very idea of something like that, as well as the constitutional laws that make it a possibility.

This is just sore losing liberals doing what sore losing liberals do best, attempt to change the rules when they can't win playing by the rules. Why don't these cry baby snowflakes just come up with a compact that says "all electoral votes will go to the Democrat regardless of popular vote." If a Republican wins the popular vote, you can bet these charlatans will just nullify their cheating mechanism and award their electoral votes to the Democrat anyway. They want an option to have it both ways, that's all this is.

Why not add to the compact, "we don't give a flying fuck what the voters of our state have to say about our next president, they can just shut up, sit down, and stay home, their vote no longer matters because we just stole it from them." Under that cheating mechanism, why would states like Delaware and RI even bother to hold presidential elections? Crooks, thieves, charlatans, and their complicit fake news media trying to cheat the system that they have never been able to cheat.

Awesome, then blue states will be chasing their tails and accomplish nothing. Their votes already go to the Democrats

Of course what you're talking about is NOT abolishing the EC, which is what they like screaming about to their base.

Such actions furthermore undermine the integrity of our election process, as with everything else they advocate for elections. You see, states can keep switching back and forth every few years. Awesome baby

I can't wait for the following scenario to occur. A state like Nevada votes for the winning candidate by a 60/40 margin, but CA and NY give the other candidate the popular vote, so Nevada's votes don't matter, because their votes were handed over to NYC and Chicago and LA.

Have you ever heard of something dumber? Should voters in smaller states be happy their leadership just gave away their voices to the residents of large urban areas?

LMFAO

I can't wait for their intellectually inferior ploy backfires. You know the fucking idiots that sold the votes of their constituents will be the first in line crying foul. Their behavior in the political arena is as dumb as Draymond Green's behavior on the basketball court

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]The Dems voted to join the others states. When it got to the Governors desk,
who is also a Dem, he vetoed it. Go figure.

The guys name is Steve Sisolak. Is it just me or does he look like a mob boss?

Lizzie wants to POOF disappear student loan debt as well. I'm sure that sits well with people who paid theirs off.

You want people from outside of California and New York taking away their constitutional rights and decide how they handle their own business. The Liberal side welcomes you, because that seems to be your position.

We wants to be able to decide for ourselves how we vote. We do not want people from New England or the federal government telling us how we should do it. We want the federal government to defend the constitution for us. You want the federal government to take that away from us.

Nothing here makes sense. Not sure if that's by design or if you're just spewing the kind of nonsense liberals think actually makes sense.

You should know I didn't suggest anyone to create some law to intervene, that's what your ilk does. I only pointed out how small states politicians are selling the votes of their constituents.
