Has dropped from -154 to -131 this afternoon. I actually thought it would have gone up. What did I miss?

Mets are on a long road trip, I have had these game circled for weeks.... tonight was a easy call just based on the pitching match up.

Some sharp/s took a shot with the Mets, moved the line, & are losing 12-3 in the 9th.

Also a forum poster with a 21-4 record was on NYM +1.5.

Some other forum comments were calling it a trap trying to bait people into betting the Braves.

Thanks for all the comments. I was on this game from the get-go. But I was concerned that maybe someone was not going to be playing or something I may have missed. No one mentioned anything other than NYM had "value" so I still felt good about ATL. I would guess any team can have "value" when the price gets to a certian point. If NYM had "value" when ATL was at -154 and was properly "valued" at -131 and ATL still won, what "value" did NYM have at anytime?

Betting against the Braves right now is crazy. Bats are on fire! Baseball looks like a beach ball to them! 9 overs in a row!

Folks who do this for a living, set their own lines, bet plenty of games, probably look for “value”....also doubt many of those folks are posting plays here.

This happened to be a game where the outcome matched the stats. The better pitcher and the hotter team won. But having said all that, in the long run, finding “value” and winning enough of those will pay off in the long run. But for small players, finding “value” isn’t worth the time.

Good luck today MDog!

Now that is a comment about "value" that does sense!
