If this happens I'm not sure the Dems can go on living.

President Trump said in a tweet Monday night that U.S. immigration agents are planning
to make mass arrests starting “next week,” an apparent reference to a plan in preparation
for months that aims to round up thousands of migrant parents and children in a blitz
operation across major U.S. cities.

“Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have
illicitly found their way into the United States,” Trump wrote, referring to U.S. Immigration
and Customs Enforcement. “They will be removed as fast as they come in.”

Pelosi and her crew will absolutley stroke out.

June 22 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump on Saturday said he will delay for two weeks raids
of illegal immigrants scheduled to start in 10 cities in an effort to work out a solution
in Congress.

"At the request of Democrats, I have delayed the Illegal Immigration Removal Process (Deportation)
for two weeks to see if the Democrats and Republicans can get together and work out a solution to
the Asylum and Loophole problems at the Southern Border," Trump posted on Twitter on Saturday
afternoon. If not, Deportations start!

I think what Trump is saying is deportations will start in 2 weeks. Or maybe not. popcorn-eatinggif

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]Precisely the point. If Trump thinks Pelosi and company will come to the table
he's hallucinating. People don't care about immigration laws, they just want it
to stop. IMHO it's a national security issue.

We need to find a way to dilute the influence of the donor class on our politicians.

Term limits is the only solution I can think of.

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]You heard it here first....

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi responded to President Donald Trump’s decision to delay the
deportations of a few hundred recent illegal migrants by asking for a nationwide amnesty
for millions of migrants living in the United States.

I like Trump. Especially compared to the Democrat alternatives.

But he has completely FAILED to stop illegal immigration, the violent crime, the massive hard drugs, the accompanying costs to our taxpayers, and he has the power to do so.

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]You are correct he has failed. Although through no fault of his own.
I don't want to start a pissing contest but what power does he have.
The current immigration laws don't allow him to stop it.
He may be the President but he still has to follow the laws.

Things he could have done within his power:

  • massive troop placement on the USA/ Mexican border, another 15,000, whatever it takes; use drones, everything, to stop illegals

  • Notify Mexico there will be 25% tariffs if they do not help us by guarding the Guatemala border to stop Central Americans... maybe even send our troops to the Guatemala border if they fail to comply

>35,000 violent crimes were committed by illegals in fiscal 2018 (convictions), assaults, murders, kidnapping, rapes, according to official ICE figures, plus felony theft, drug crimes, DUI's, ,all of that... Then you add the deaths from illegal hard drugs. Then you consider the cost of feeding, clothing, healthcare, education... for illegals. Oh, and add to the 35,000 convictions, a justifiable assumption that many, many, many more were not caught.

Too bad the GOP is not publicizing the crisis, the deaths, the drugs, with a coordinated message.

The actions I describe are justified.

Their is no substance to Democrats any more. They are self serving and their only goal is getting re-elected.

They do this by getting name recognition, through the liberal fake news media, and they do that by

framing outrageous sound bites and contrived moments of phony outrage to get on CNN et al. The

Democrats are destroying America! Very sad!:ohno:

First, there are more than 5,200 active-duty troops sent by President Donald Trump to the
U.S.-Mexico border however they are limited in what they can do under a federal law that restricts
the military from engaging in law enforcement on American soil.

That means the troops will not be allowed to detain immigrants, seize drugs from smugglers
or have any direct involvement in stopping a migrant caravan.
Not sure what 15,000 more troops would accomplish but I'm all for it.

Second, the Mexican government already has stepped up security along its porous border
with Guatemala – deploying police and soldiers to its southern frontier and arresting prominent
migration activists because of Trumps threat of tariffs.

Face it, the problem is not the migrants, it's the Dem majority controlled House that refuses to
fix our broken immigration laws.

It is a national security threat. 100,000 entering a month, THAT WE KNOW OF.

Middle east and African terrorists have been caught entering. And of course MS-13. The military reports directly to Trump, no buffers, no committees, no BS. Trump could send the troops but he is letting thousands of Americans be violently attacked by illegals (>1,600 murders last year), thousands die from drugs brought in by illegals, and hundreds of billions taken from taxpayers to pay for them.

And, by the way, Mexico is now sending 15,000 troops to help us at their northern USA border and try to stop this madness. This is terrific news if they carry out the mission and effectively end most of this tragedy... we shall see.

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]What part of a federal law that restricts the military from engaging in
law enforcement on American soil don't you understand?

You don't get it and I suspect you never will.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate on Wednesday rejected a bill approved a day earlier
by the House of Representatives that would have provided $4.5 billion to address a surge in
migration at the U.S. border with Mexico, while setting new standards for the care of migrants
taken into custody.

So, what else is new?
