New coach Neal Brown has beefed up West Virginia's off-the-field staff considerably.
The recruiting department has moved from two full-time employees to six full-time.
All told, the recruiting, analyst and operations wing of WV's football program has
grown from six full-time employees to thirteen, bringing the total number of football
employees under Brown to 49. Under the previous coach, things had gotten a little
to relaxed.

Make things happen
Watch things happen
Wonder what happened

West Virginia got themselves a good one if they can keep him. Who said Auburn? I
didn't say anything about Auburn...…...

Neal Brown will be amazing. One step back in '19, but I strongly believe two steps forward after that.

You may be right about this season being a learning one. Brown took over a Troy program that averaged 4 wins
the previous 4 seasons before he became head coach. During his 4 years as head coach, Troy was 4-8, 10-3, 11-2
and 10-3. He went to three bowl games and won all three.

principles must stay the same in the high times and low times. Consistency creates trust." Neal Brown.

Brown has done a great job so far. Alums are back to giving and the fan base isnt divided, probably for the first time since the rod days. This year is going to be rough but hopefully he improves each yr.....its going to be a toss-up for spots 3-8 in the big 12.

On off...its going to come down to qb play for us. We got the Okla transfer, but brown didnt like the way the QBs played in the spring game so he got the bowling green transfer doege to come in. We lack some depth at wr but other than that ,the rest of the off. positions look good. ...the d was suppose to carry us this year but with a change to a 3-4 ,who knows what to expect. No way we come close to okla and Texas this yr...the start of the schedule will be the key...if we can find some way to get by nc st and Missouri, maybe we have a chance for 8 wins .

ground hog, I'm guessing the WV offense will lean heavily on the run this season with
three pretty good running backs. McCoy, Pettaway and Brown combined for 1,871 rush
yards and 18 TDs last year. Looks like a good foundation at running back. You are right,
Brown needs to find a productive QB to run his offense.

James Madison....@Missouri.....N C State.....@Kansas.....BYE.....Texas.....Iowa State.....
@Oklahoma.....BYE.....@Baylor.....Texas Tech.....@Kansas State.....Oklahoma State.....
@TCU

Opponents on the 2019 schedule had a combined record of 90-65 record based on last
seasons results. I read somewhere that WV's schedule was ranked top-15 most difficult.
Brown and staff have their work cut out for them this first season.

After Brown took over the job at WV, he met individually with every player and
members of the staff. During those meetings, he ask the following 4 questions.

What do we need to do to sustain?
What do we need to do to improve?
What's the number one issue?
If you were named head coach, what would you do?

Brown has told his players and staff that he wants an atmosphere of fun, positive
energy, family atmosphere, competition and continuous improvement.
