STRAIGHT BET
ALONZO MENIFIELD -286
(PAUL CRAIG vrs ALONZO MENIFIELD) (UFC on ESPN 3 - Light Heavyweight 3 rounds - Target Center - Minneapolis, Minnesota)
This is very similar to last weeks Jairzinho "Bigi Boy" Rozenstruik, as Alonzo Menifield has tremendous knockout power and two of Paul Craigs three losses have come via knockout from less physically gifted then Alonzo Menifield who currently trains at Fortis MMA alongside fighters who include Ryan Spann, Kennedy Nzechukwu and Charles Byrd. Menifield debuted as an amateur he knocking out Eric Miguel in just 45 seconds.
Menifield needed just eight seconds to dispose of Dashawn Boatright in Dana White's Contender Series, but Menifield, but his most impressive fight by far was his second fight, where he was making his LFA debut vs Brock Combs who is something like 6'6. I think blood splatter on the canvas on that final right hand that finished the fight and would have made Jackson Pollock proud. The comfort level and focus and boxing mechanics and defense.
Paul Craig is a Brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Marcos Nardin, he pulled out a hail mary Submission by triangle choke win over Kennedy Nzechukwu, so it is interesting he is being matched up with another Fortis MMA fighter. Paul Craigs would not be in the UFC right now if he had not got gas cans to fight like vs Henrique da Silva; and Ankalaev who was only on the European cards. Kennedy Nzechukwu in his first UFC fight took Paul Craigs to the limits. Tyson Pedro who is complete crap ko Craig. Jimmy Crute also making his UFC debut beat Craig via kimura in the third round. The UFC regrets giving Paul Craig a new, four-fight contract following the win against Ankalaev and are looking for a reason to cut him.
Menifield last fight was Jan / 19 / 2019 so he has been staying active, his 7-0 record is against high level competition but his longest fight was only 2 rounds and 32 seconds, he has never gone to decision, and in his UFC debut did not go out of the first round, he dominated Vinicius "Mamute" Moreira (9-2-0) who was also comming off a win in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series Brazil. Even with just 6 months additional training i think Menifield will make progress.
I like the hedge with a small bet on Paul Craig and Menifield by Ko.
