So even if Jacob deGrom reverts to his Cy Young form (a big if), I'm not betting that the bullpen will be able to close it out. All reports say that Braves starter Mike Soroka (8-1, 2.07 ERA) is fine after being hit in the forearm with a pitch. Give me the NL East leaders getting plus money.

In a clash of American League bottom feeders, my numbers see value on the Royals as a slight underdog when they visit the Blue Jays on Friday. My data has Kansas City winning in 57 percent of simulations, a solid overlay versus the price. The Royals are 4-1 in their last five coming off a loss and also 4-1 behind Danny Duffy against losing opponents. The Blue Jays are 1-7 in their past eight home contests.
