what is your diet? Do you have every meal planned? Times?

Or just only eat like 6 foods?

They're over 80,000 edible plants, just saying. My diet consists of mostly fruit, some veggies, nuts, seeds, homemade herbal teas/juices/ smoothies. I try to eat between 10-6. When I wake up I make a herbal tea or crack a fresh young coconut and drink the water. Hour or so later I make a citrus drink with a manual juicer. 2 oranges, lemon, grapefruit, one drop each or oregano and peppermint oil. Maybe a salad for lunch. Avocados, tomatoes, peppers, onions, carrots, cabbage, lentils, sweet potatoes, cucumber to name a few. Light dinner, maybe a smoothie. Coconut water/meat, strawberries, dates. Tonight I had blueberry buckle for dessert (almond milk, unprocessed/unrefined cane sugar, myoikos vegan butter, apple sauce, garbanzo flour, baking soda, sea salt)

Wake up and drink some coconut water? Sounds like some survivor shit.
I would rather drop dead tonight.

I respect what you do, Shub. Hope you live a long and healthy life.

But I'm a foodie. I love good food. I grow my own herbs and veggies. But I love meats and fish too. And pasta. LOve all that stuff.

Could never live on your menu. Unless of course I had to.

PS I'm healthy except my breathing sucks. All my vitals are very good. If I never smoked I feel like I'd live to be 120.

So vegan is not the only path to health.

Maybe you mentioned it before but I'm curious if you maintain muscle on that type of nutrition plan. Most vegans seem skinny but nothing wrong with that

How about energy levels?

Thank you. Not that I had to but it’s the most effective diet in controlling my diabetes. I wish the best for everyone on here, even if they don’t wish the same. I’m just trying to raise people’s awareness about what they put into theirs bodies.

All cooked foods are acid forming. Heat destroys biogenicity which is a foods ability to transfer the suns energy to your body.
Heat changes the molecular structure of foods. It also destroys the mineral content. If it needs to be cooked then it’s not natural and not a food. People only began cooking foods and consuming flesh after the cataclysms on earth destroyed plant life, fruits etc.

I’m skinny but not unhealthy skinny. 6ft 165. Energy levels are always high unless I’m in the midst of a fast.

good for you Shub!! ya got control of your diabetes !! Meds free too? You did it by researching, changing habits, fueling your body with better choices. Many wasy to skin a cat, glad you found waht works for YOU. For some, a ketogenic diet has gotten them off insulin , can you can beleive that!! Does that mean a ketogenic diet should be used by everyone? That a higher % of carbs are bad? that meat is good? ......see what i'm getting at? :)

no dairy , Shub? Then why in some of the Blue Zones , specifically, Sardania Italy do we find goat's milk and sheep's cheese as stables (15 lbs of cheese per year, lol)? Animal bi-products Shub, yet those folks live to 100 yrs old...........you need to open your mind

fueling the body with healthier fuel is a no brainer, Shub...

I know Shub takes a bit of a beating and I don't think I would have the willpower to eat like that but I will say this, around 10-15 years ago I had a relative with all kinds of health problems and he found some doctor in Colorado who told him to start eating all raw foods and a plant based diet and within 6 months he had pretty much reversed everything that was wrong with him. So I already know if I ever got cancer I'd be all over at least giving this type of diet a try.

its very difficult for someone who is insulin dependent to come off. The people you are referring to are type 2. I started with the lymphatic system and went from there. If you don’t know how your body works it’s hard to know how to take proper care of it. Similar to a car. You could have the exact same car as someone and the one who does the necessary preventative maintenance and cares for the car usually it will last longer. Sometimes things go wrong that we can’t predict but you get the picture.

Milk is one of the most acidic mucus forming foods on the whole planet. Should not be consumed after a baby stage. After you’re taken off moms breast milk the body stops producing lactase to break down lactose. Especially, from that of a cow. It’s baby cow growth hormone. Main protein in milk is casein. Which was ingredient in the original elemers glue. It’s a binding agent. Baby calf’s have an enzyme in the 4th stomach to break it down, rennet. All these things calcify in the body and create blockages. You actually lose more calcium then you absorb. The vitamin d is fortified. Vitamin d is gained when your cholesterol get sulphated from the sun. Not mention there are always going to be anomalies.

type II that progressed to insulin dependent. It's a spectrum. The ketogenic diet got them off insulin, Shub. Just sharing some facts , it can work for some people. Sorry

Shub, why are the folks in Sardina living to 100 years old eating animal bi-products (milk and cheese)?

Sardinia is an island in the middle of the Mediterranean. Those people eat a lot of fish and pasta.

They have a kind of pasta called fregola. Been trying to find it around here. Failing. May have to pay a big price online.
