Thoughts on UCLA this season

I see them as my sleeper team this season who will win over 5.5 games.

This will be Chip Kelly's 2nd season with the team. I knew UCLA would be garbage last season since Kelly didnt have his players on offense. This is year 2 and now he has some of his horses. Yeah, he's not getting 5 star recruits but he's getting California players and there are plenty of 3 star California players who will fit very well into his system.

All 3 non conference games will be tough this season (Cincy, Oklahoma, and SDST) but they could possibly win 2 of those games. Plus the PAC 12 is the worst BCS conference (5th best overall) so there are plenty of 50/50 games on their schedule this season.

Bottom line, UCLA over 5.5 is a good play this season

I would love to hear thoughts on those fans who follow west coast college football

I'm not bullish on UCLA in the least. Or at least I thought I wasn't. If the win total is 5.5, then maybe I am a believer after all. They get a break in week one, as UC has a potential lookahead to Ohio State the next week.

UCLA has problems and getting to 6 wins will be difficult this year. The schedule is
really difficult and the players are young. Bruins played 20 true freshman last year
and it showed in their 3-9 record. Kelly inherited Jim Mora's players and until he gets
his suited to his offense, they will continue to go through growing pains. Take a look
at the QBs UCLA will face this season...then look at their QB situation...ain't a pretty
picture. I would take the under 5.5 especially because of the Top 10 schedule they
will face. Just my 2 cents...………..
