I'm talking about guys like Clint Frazier that are constantly up and down between between NY and Scranton.

Okay so you make 550k when in the majors, what do you make in the minors ?

Do you maintain an apartment in both cities ? Live in weekly motels/ hotels ?

You could be traded and sent anywhere from Florida to Seattle at any time.

That must kinda suck, I can see why veteran big money guys always have a no trade clause, moving sucks, even more so involuntary moving ! They travel a lot already

Is that 80k for the 6 month season or pro-rated to 40 k for 6 months ?

What if you only make it to the majors for the proverbial cup of coffee, then back down and traded and sent to some AAA team or lower in Idaho, Iowa, Alabama, or some random locale ?
It might be cool if you're 22, but could get old at 26.

I hope this kid at least gets a taste of the majors.

The pay structure of MLB is screwed up, the best players, hotshot rookies make the least and contribute the most, old declining former stars get big bucks

He’s 27 got called up last year on last game of triple a. Been up twice this year once for a month. Pay is based on mlb minimum divided by games in season. pay every 2 weeks . This what his pops told me . When you get sent down you can’t come back up for 10days. They travel by plane unless real close venue

He has gotten the chance to spend time all over America with a lot of sponsors . There are a lot of good Americans out there and like the military people feel good going out of there way for some young Americans giving there all .

27 is a bit old to be bouncing between AAA/ MLB, is he a catcher ?

I'm glad he stuck for than a few games, I wish him luck as to making the majors as a 25 man guy, most likely a left handed pitcher ?

Very few make it to the majors !

Pitcher is the most likely answer since about 50 % of MLB players are pitchers, usually 13 of the 25 are pitchers, leaving a 3- man bench, with a backup catcher you can't use and a utility guy to cover every infield position, and a 4th outfielder

No such thing as a pinch hitter or runner with 13 pitchers

Wish him the best and hope he can stay in the show for awhile and cash in a few million and be set for life with some intelligent financial choices.
