This is not a knock on Directv,but we lost our local NBC station.The message says,the owner of Nexstar decided to take down their station from our lineup,no answers so far at this time,but they are working with the owner to add it back on.

From what i know was, that local stations are never to not be available for subscribers,...anybody else ever had this issue by a local station,.....the puzzling part with this is,their local sister station is on air which is CBS,..now that's weird if you ask me

I have lost my local FOX channel for the past 4 months because of the same BS

The over the air frequency has been changed ; this all in effort to make room for more wireless broadband............

from what i read about Nexstar,which directv has,is asking a enormous price to put it back on,they have full explanation of this on tvpromise.com,but Nexstar is looking to be greedy.

Like I said get an antenna, you should be able to get at least some of that back, then get an A/B type of switch and go back and forth between antenna and switch

The site that DirecTv refers you to in the onscreen announcement makes Nexstar look greedy...go figure.
