Rodriguez (10-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) will now face Dana White’s Contender Series veteran John Allan (13-5 MMA, 0-0 UFC), who will step in next week.

Simon last fight was a win over grappling and submissions specialist Rani Ahmad Yahya, Urijah Faber last fight was in 2016, vs Brad Pickett who was a shell of his former self, before that Faber was on a two fight losing streak and had a win over Frankie Saenz. Faber last impressive win was over Dominick Cruz in March 24, 2007. Dominick Cruz won the next two times they faught. Ricky Simon is a former LFA Bantamweight Championship and Gracie Barra Portland product. Last week we saw Michael Chiesa def. Diego Sanchez, this is a young mans sport and at 40 there are certain attributes that fade very quickly. This fight is in Faber back yard which i think will be a negative for him. These old "has been" fighters with glass jaws and too many commitments outside of fighting are fade material (Luke Rockhold,Jack Marshman, Jimi Manuwa)

Ricky Simon, 26, who is set to fight Urijah Faber this Saturday, seeing Sonnen retire was emotional. The two have trained together since Simon joined Gracie Barra, now American Top Team. There, in the gym, Sonnen took the 26-year-old under his wing and has been a mentor for him throughout his young and promising career. Simon pointed to his last three fights as signs that he’s the best he’s ever been. Rani Yahya was on a three-fight winning streak, Montel Jackson was undefeated and Merab Dvalishvili is a tough prospect currently riding a two-fight winning streak. As for his opponent, Simon said Faber is old, but he is still expecting the best version of him.

This is the easiest fight Sheymon Moraes has had in the UFC thus far, Moraes made his UFC debut on November 25, 2017 against Zabit Magomedsharipov. Magomedsharipov is currently ranked #5 in the official UFC featherweight rankings. His other loss was a brutal battle with Sodiq Yusuff who has sledgehammers for hands , that went to a Decision (uananimous) and he has two quality wins in the UFC. He was a Brazilian Kickboxing Champion (Three times) and Muay Thai Brazilian Champion (Two times). Andre Fili last two wins have come from diminished veteran fighters on their way out; Myles Jury and Dennis Bermudez. Don't let Dennis Bermudez win over Te Edwards fool you, Te Edwards is not a UFC level fighter. Despite the loss i feel like Moraes has more momentum going in to this fight and having the less recognizable name, the line movement is justifiable going from a pickem to a minus money.

Karl Roberson weakness is his ground game, but i don't think that will be an issues in this fight, Roberson was beating Glover Teixeira in his last fight , but Teixeira is tuff as nails and pulled off a submission (arm-triangle choke). at 21 Wellington Turman is no Glover Teixeira. Roberson took that fight on short notice and moved up a weight class to light heavyweight, Roberson is returning to middleweight. Roberson was scheduled to meet John Phillips on July 13, 2019 at UFC on ESPN+ 13 However, it was reported that Phillips was pulled from the bout due to injury and he was replaced by Wellington Turma.

Mike Rodriguez is 6 foot 4 and got a KO by flying knee in the DW's Contender Series 2017, went to decision with Devin Clark , went down in competition to face Adam Milstead and now a late replacement John Allan is a further step down.
