Oh noooooo.

This is so extremely brutal given how close the players at the 2019 World Series of Poker Main Event are to the end.

Timothy Su will start Friday’s action third in chip count with 34,350,000 thanks to this stunner of a win over Sam Greenwood, who finished in 45th.

The video below starts at the flop — Greenwood has pocket Aces and Su has 10-9 offsuit. The flop is Jack-Queen-4, giving Su two ways to get a straight with either a King or an 8.

Greenwood bets 1.8 million of his 15M-plus chips and Su calls. The turn is another Jack and Greenwood bets 3.5M this time. I would assume he bet pre-flop, so Su might know he has pocket Aces by this point. But he shoves all in anyway, knowing he has over 29 million in chips, a risky but smart move given his stack.

Brutal. Just so very brutal. Su hits his straight with a King and Greenwood goes home.

Guess what shows up on the river? Watch below:

Ah Ac vs. Tc9c
78.1% 21.4% preflop
64.8% 35.1% postflop

I wouldn't even call that a bad beat...

The hand was 10, 9 off suit. Not suited. How’s that change the hand? Was your simulation ran suited?

So you would fold in that situation?

No second thoughts?

True. I haven’t watched the hand, Will in a second. But I make people pay to look at my bullets. If they pay the premium and I lose, I can live with that. Money was in at the right time and I was “unlucky” like some will say.

I don’t play for cheap looks when I have quality ass. Lol

AA holds up 31% of the time if all players remain in a 10 handed game

Hahahaha so? All 10 players stay in? All the way to the river?
Nothing even close would ever happen.
Fake stat.
I'm actually very surprised it's that high.

The bottom line is this guy can at least sleep at night cause he didn't try to get cute with it.
He did what he was supposed to do, made the guy pay to draw, got his money in good, and shit happens.
Draws do get there sometimes.

I’m still learning but love this game. We always remember the suck outs. I need to log my live play some how.
