I used to hate the guy, now I like him !

He's got just the right mixture of persistence , impulsiveness, saying what he thinks with his incessan, often ill-thought Tweets.

He comes across as a bit crazy, and it's not an act, perfect to put some fear in the rebel states of the world

He easily gets reelected, Dems need something way better than Joe Bidet , or that young black female senator or whatever she is.

I would even vote for him, if my vote counted, but I live in a state that is automatically Blue, screw the electoral college, never voted in my life, never will until that stupid system is abolished !

It's a start Doug, you're morphing :) Or at least you like WINNING

Can't get rid of the electoral college. It makes it necessary to appeal to a wide spectrum or cross spectrum of Americans. Without the EC, politicians would only have to focus on getting out the vote in 10 or fewer cities. Democrats would only have to get the vote out in NYC, Philadelphia, DC, Chicago, LA, SF, Houston, Atlanta, Miami and they win the presidency every four years. That doesn't make every vote more valuable, it makes every vote less valuable, much like your vote in CT is. Our few cities control every statewide election.

The way to make each vote more valuable is to go in the opposite direction. Take away winner take all states, make them fight for each district, that would make sure politicians have to do right by every voting demographic.

We can't have the Presidency won by politicians who buy votes with handouts year after year after year

PS: You can change the EC btw, with a Constitutional Amendment. That's NOT happening and nobody has even suggested such :)

This.

I'm from Mass. It's blue just like CT. But I vote every election. I want them to know that conservatives exist here and we need our voices recognized. If others do the same maybe we'd find enough of us to win some offices.

As much as it pains me to say this I agree with Doug. When I moved to Nevada it was as red as could be.
Then all the Cali liberals started moving in because they couldn't afford to live there and what happened?
Nevada is now as blue as it gets. Doug is right my vote is meaningless. I am an example of Einstein's
definition of insanity.

Serbone should be in here any minute to tell us to ............Think....

But as that may be... Vote people.. You just never know how these things can change... I live in Oregon. Trump shouldn't win here either.. But even if I'm the only one in this fucked up state to vote Trump , I'm doing it...

isn't that funny how that works? they constantly move away from places like Cali and Connecticut due to cost they created then run and repeat the same shit all over again...they will not be happy until they have ruined every place they go.

Agree Willie!

Ask those who live in “flyover states”, we don’t want big cities on either coast to determine the winner each year. (And I’m sure Big City doesn’t want farmers and “red necks” determining the winner either)

Fortunately, I live in a Red state!

After watching 20 minutes of news I’m ready to watch cartoons - JK (oh wait too much violence and racism in the old ones)

I wonder how mad Native Americans get when they hear Reparations talk...??

Some Politicians are worse than whores-you are more likely to get what you were told from a whore than a Politician.

Trump is a character no doubt, but he never claimed to be a politician.

They'll never get 2/3 of the House to ratify
And if they did, they need 2/3 of the Senate, not happening

And if they ever managed to get the constitutional amendment out of DC, then 38 states have to ratify it. A whole lot of smaller states have to sign away their rights in order for that to happen

I think it's more likely I can win the lottery than it is to pass a Constitutional Amendment abolishing the electoral college.

Just remember, if Hillary won, not Trump, by now we'd have open borders + government controlled healthcare = 60% or more federal tax rate for the middle class, and in a few more years, essentially the end of our republic, a stinking 3rd world one-party country by the mid 2020's.
