Some guy started it as a troll and now it's got over 400k going and another 400k interested. Mostly people trolling, but would be funny even if just a few K show up.

The description of the event is that on the 20th of September goers gonna show up and walk on base, and force their way in.

Yeah it would be hilarious if thousands of people show up at Area 51, yes I think it would be funny... because it would be. I'm not sure what's more ridiculous the people that are going, or the people that think the military is going to unload and kill thousands of people.

HHHMMMMM....The military killing thousands of people???? Yeah probably wont happen they are a very peaceful lot. Probably just gas em. They love it when people trespass in restricted areas.

You know what the U S Government likes even more? When people don't comply with them. Just ask the Branch Davidians. They learned extra crispy style. Lots of luck with that "raid" it sounds like a terrific idea!w-thumbs!^

80 people died at Waco which is tad smaller than 1000's, and it was a stand off that had lasted months with shots fired at our Feds, and even after all that it was the Davidians that lit themselves on fire, not the Fed unloading on them even after they had been fired upon. Government still got a ton blame. Imagine the backlash if 1000's are killed that aren't armed. It's up to 900k going now, which I doubt they show up, but if they did? No way they just blast that many people. I don't think by any means these people are going to be allowed to just walk on but... It is a curiosity to me at least on how they are going to go about dealing with that many people.

I have no idea. I've been there a few times, it's on the way to Vegas from Reno, there isn't enough space out there for that many people to meet up, they'd have to all stay in Vegas, then car pool. The potential for chaos is high.
