2019 Wimbledon may go down as Fed's last real chance to win a slam.

I know this has been said before and then Fed, Rafa or Djoker go on and win another slam. But I think this might be it.

Two match points at 40-15 on serve on grass.... just days from his 38th birthday.

AO -- If he doesn't win it in 2020, he won't win it as a 39 year old
FO -- He won't win it again or maybe even play
W -- 2020 is probably last real chance at a slam for him
USO -- Hasn't won it in about a decade. Don't see him winning it again

Absolutely crushing defeat and end to his slam career. He was the better player and couldn't just win one out of 3 tiebreaks.

If Fed wins another slam, go ahead and bump this. But I think this is the end.

It is.

Federer hates the heat and the US Open and Australian Open are the 2 highest heat majors. Obviously he isn't winning the French. Next year Wimbledon is pushing it but still his best chance.

I think it was last year he even commented something like he couldn't wait to get off the court because he couldn't breathe or something like that at last year US Open which will likely be as hot and humid as ever. Even if they give him night matches. Its still hot and he can't play all 7 night matches.

A lot of your tennis points are right on, but I don't think the heat at the USO is a problem for him. He sure wasn't complaining when he won all those AO's and USO's.

I think I saw a stat that Rafa has only won 2 slams in the last 9 years outside of the FO. Something crazy like that. It will get to the point where the young guys will start blowing him off the court in the HC majors. Just a few years away.... but I guess he'll be 36 or 37 by then.

Really don't want to see Djok with 21 slams and more than Fed.
