Ryu has been arguably the best pitcher in the league this year, entering with a 1.78 ERA. Since the beginning of last season, Ryu has been one of the most dominant pitchers in all of baseball, posting a 1.86 ERA over his last 33 starts. The 32-year-old hasn’t let up in 2019, going 10-2 with a 1.78 ERA, positioning himself as the leader for the Cy Young Award in the National League. In 19 games (18 starts), Ryu has pitched into the sixth inning or later 17 times and allowed two earned runs or less on all but one occasion. The Marlins are just 3-9 in their last 12 games, while the Dodgers are 48-16 in their last 64 home games. Ryu has only given up more than two runs in one start this season, and that was in Coors Field at elevation that can mess with even the best starters. In nine home starts this year, Ryu has an absurd 0.85 ERA.
