I really like New Orleans in the NFC this year despite the fact they have a 40 year old
quarterback. The fact is that old QB completed 74.4 percent of his passes at 39 seems
to put the age thing to bed. He can still play and has a good group of skill players to
depend on. The defense was stout last year and should be strong again this season,
especially against the run.

*The Saints are 33-13-1 (71.7 %) against the spread in games following back-to-back
straight up and against the spread wins under Sean Payton.

Good luck this season NFLTrends.

Really like Pittsburgh. Have them at +170 and +165 to win North.

Eagles, Chargers and Falcons got some of my money too.

After the last two post-seasons you have to either believe NO is due or they are snakebit. Concerned about Kamara's role increasing since Ingram is gone. I actually (long shot alert) think Tampa might have a division shot as history dictates each team rotates through the #1 spot and I've always been an Arians fan. Of course, you have to believe (again) that Jameis will finally live up to potential and their additions on defense pan out. Like the Jaguars and Chargers picks although I think Indy will be there with Jax. Probably like the Ravens better than the Steelers and I think the 49'ers played very well last year after losing their QB and will make a major move this year.

Most divisions will be a dog fight this year... with the exception of the Patriots.

Should be a fun season to watch!

Pittsburgh will win the Super Bowl next season. Their "D" is very good and getting Big Ben back will be a huge difference.

There is a better chance they dont even win their own division next year. I realize the outlying factors and all that, I'm just saying its not a good place to start if your not the best team in your own division. Just me talking

Why is there so much shade on NFLTrends picks that he made in late July? Take a closer looks at his picks.

The two big favorite Saints and Patriots both won their divisions.
Cowboys was at +150 and came down to the game against the Eagles late in the season. You could've easily hedged out of that bet by taking Eagles ML in that game.
Seahawks was at +300 and came down to the game against the 49ers late in the season. You could've easily hedged out of that bet by taking 49ers ML in that game.
Chargers was at +200. Remember Chiefs only had a 2.5 game lead over the Chargers after Mahomes knee injury in week 7. There was a huge overreaction in the futures market after his knee injury on TNF before the Sunday games so you could've gotten a very nice price on the Chiefs if you still believe that could hang on and win that division.
Steelers was at +150 and no one could've predicted the season ending injury to Big Ben in week 2. They were clearly the 2nd best team in that division and who knows what would've happened if Big Ben was healthy the whole season. Vegas didn't even think that the Ravens was going to be this dominant this season. This is evident in the long odds for Lamar Jackson for MVP and Raven to win the Superbowl before the season started.
Lions at +800 and Jaguars at +450 were longshots. Not surprising that they didn't win.
