Amazing how many people never really look at the settings of their league (myself included). A couple of years ago I was in a 12 team h2h league, and I just assumed that the top 6 teams made the playoffs, with the top 2 seeds getting a bye. Turned out a mistake had been made and only the top 4 got in, with no first round bye. By the time I looked at the settings the season was coming down to the last few weeks, and it was too late to make a change. I was pissed for never bothering to look. Given that roto leagues normally go to the end of the season, and that the commish intended the league to be season long, I'd vote to fix the mistake.
Is this your first league all playing together or have you been playing together for a few years? If you have been playing together for a few years, did the fantasy season always end on the last day of the season or was it always the week before?
Crappy rule but i think its too late to switch unless everyone agrees. You probably had until Memorial Day to put up a reasonable argument
