Can anyone tell me what's wrong with this picture?

Hint: it NOT about the moon and wind or no wind, look closely at this picture and tell me why it's not a flag that's waving, it was never intended to really wave

the clue is in the flag itself

There is a rod inserted in the top of the flag so it doesn’t drape down
How many fucking moon threads does this forum need?
What’s the point of this?

OMG, of all people, I wouldn't expect LM to have the answer. My she's not a conspiracy aficionado

Yes, the thread is not about another moon landing conspiracy, it's a rebuttal of one of the favorite conspiracy theories. The flag couldn't wave like that on the moon.

Well it didn't and even that part was planned by NASA. The top of the flag is perfectly straight, and that's because NASA put a crossbar in it to make it appear as if it's waving in the wind

There are rather simple answers to most questions, you just have to look for them

No, it’s not a “crossbar.” It was a telescoping rod inserted into a seam on the top of the flag. It was not done to make the flag appear to “wave in the wind” at all. It was done so the flag would be displayed in full, and not drape down

She doesn't even know she's all riled up up semantics. Essentially repeats what I'm saying, and still argues about it

OK, the rod was not intended to make the flag appear has if it's waving, it was intended to make sure the flag doesn't droop down. Well alrighty then, I stand corrected

Hey Willie, I figured since you posted this thread because you wanted people to know about facts, that you would want accurate information. No one is “all riled up.” I’m simply correcting your inaccuracies

Also it’s not semantics. No space agency would want a flag appearing to “wave in the wind” as you stated, since there is no wind. It’s a stupid guess that you literally made up, and posted as a fact of their supposed motivations
