Utah will be the last state to get legal betting, & that's if they get it at all, which I doubt.
Yeah, some people have a twisted way of looking at things......like the usual lottery players spending $10 a day will decide tonbet sports, lol......lottery players are more likely to stop playing lottery & go play the slots at a casino.

I missed this. Heaven forbid helping the 26 indian casinos and 3 Detroit casinos with sports wagering. The state gets a cut from that. The Mich lottery is way down, thanks to casinos.
She's saying it hurts schools because the Lottery proceeds go to the schools. Casino sports revenues can aid the schools also. I'm down by the worst school district in the state (Benton Harbor) and school funding isn't the reason its awful. When 3% of your 3rd Graders can read at a 3rd Grade level, thats not lottery funding.
Meanwhile I'll drive by the sportsbook under construction at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City tomorrow and see hope.
