What would you do in this situation?

I read about this yesterday. It’s interesting.

Waiter is taking care of a table where some young women are ordering food and cocktails. The waiter overheard one of the women say she’s expecting but she’s ordering cocktails. The waiter tells the bartender to make one virgin cocktail for the group and doesn’t tell them.

You guessed it. The bill said “virgin” next to the drinks. The lady confronted the waitress then spoke to the manager. The waitress got yelled at by the manager but stood her ground telling her “I won’t facilitate fetal alcohol syndrome.”

Thoughts?

I read the same story.

The woman is actually full term so baby isnt really developing but nonetheless, if she wants to have an unnecesary drink that's on her. Just serve the drink you piece of shit waiter, no one cares what your beliefs are.

Maybe different story then. Still feel the same way. That waiter's not raising the kid. Although the father should have a say. He needs to discipline that skank. Of course all she has to do is go home and drink a fifth anyway.

Easy, the waitress has every right not to serve that woman. But not be shady about it. What she should have done was taken the order, traded off the table and thats it. you dont do what she did. you dont preach. you dont make a scene. done.

The waitress stepped out of line, and even went about it wrong. And to the back yard BBQ circumstance, I would say one wouldn't be out of line to not serve. If the owner of the Restaurant didn't want his staff to serve, I'd be totally ok with that too. But it should be handled straight up.

I hope that same waiter when some fat ass heffer comes wobbling in and wants a Burger and fries loaded with saturated fat. He should take it upon himself to order her a chicken salad with lite dressing.
