The price on the 76ers at the time was -5000. For those who aren’t inclined to sports gambling, that means that a bettor has to bet $5,000 in order to win $100.
[h=2]They win how much?[/h]The math on that adds up to a $2,010 return for said bettor if the 76ers indeed make the playoffs.
Needless to say, that’s a significant amount of risk for a relatively small return.

He just made an investment where he is getting 5% return over 8 months.

There are PLENTY of other investments where i'd rather put 100k.

First i need 100k to do so

i can understand these wagers on an individual game but not on a full season. first off, you can't predict injuries and in nba 2-3 dudes go down and your bet is in trouble

what makes no sense is the 2% return when you can put 100k into a 1-year CD for at least 2.5% right now

agree that it looks more like laundering drug money than anything
