Boston is now 1-9 in their L10.

2019 Season Offensive Ranks:
1st in HITS
1st in BATTING AVERAGE
1st in DOUBLES
2nd in RUNS

Today:
KC @ BOS (-330); Boston RL -1.5 (-165)

KC brings Sparkman to the mound, who threw a Complete Game versus the White Sox a few weeks ago but since then he has followed that up with a 10.56 ERA in his L3 Starts which were @Cleveland, Cleveland, followed by @Minnesota.
KC also has a bullpen ERA of 4.79 on the season, which is 7th worst in the league. Even if Sparkman can make it 4-5 innings, Boston will still be capable of scoring 3+ runs in any given inning...

If there is a time for the Red Sox to wake up and get back on track, I'd think today is the day they put up 10+ runs.

*I have not wagered on this game, but wanted to point out that this seems like a "you know what". Thoughts welcome....

I agree that they should put up big runs against Sparky but don’t expect any big run this season. Big hangover year from winning it all last year...:think2:

I don't think my beloved Sox are going to perform up to standards at all this year.. too many things going wrong
They have all the talent in the world but Sale, Porcello, Evoldi, the entire pen, Mookie, Benny, Mitch, JBJ.. none are living up to where they should be... even JD not hitting well as expected.. whole team seems to be in a well we won it last year and on a defending champion tour of celebration not defending.. .. excitement isn't there either..
Last year was a SPECIAL year but this year is a disappointment to say the least for the team with the most world series titles in this century

You probably know better, but didn’t all this start during Spring training? I don’t remember exact details but have heard on MLB Network how Boston didn’t do something (maybe it was the pitchers) that would be considered normal during that time...:think2:

They didn't work pitchers at all like normal...
they also didn't work the fielders as much.. Pitchers I understood because they were some injuries last year and they shut sale down last year and blah blah but the approach Alex and the front office took was too careful IMO.. also Daves stupid comment right before trade deadline was a death sentence and I think Sox will be lucky to re sign Mook because he is pissed about it.
At least a lot of money comes off table at end of this year so maybe some things can change.. i think its 7 $5 mil plus deals end.. for instance.. LEON, Porcello, Moreland.....
