Fucked up life so bad, that suicide is the only way out? Sad really. Not saying he actually committed it, but someone knew something no one wanted to know.

Just a fucked up world we are in. Can’t trust anyone.

The mind can take a terrible turn. I'm lucky to
say in all my years things have been good. Not
for some I know and have known.

I can see killing yourself instead of doing life in prison, too drastic a change for an old billionaire

If you have a terminal illness and can choose a pain free death at the time of your choosing, then i would lean towards doing it. (Other factors taken into consideration, being alone; no immediate family etc. depression on and on)

Epstein was conceivably taking the furthest fall any human being could in this world: going from the cushy life of a billionaire to the lowest rung on the totem pole as a child molester in prison.

Terminal illness/ painful existence are valid.

Loneliness, depression, no family are not decent reasons without the prison or terminal illness factored in.

Self preservation is the strongest of all human instincts. The only time it doesn't
come into play is if a loved one is in harms way and you are attempting to save
their life.

I've never been that bad off that I considered suicide. IMHO it takes a special kind of
balls to take your own life no matter how bad things get.

In my mind those who do so are mentally ill to begin with.

The mind is a scary thing..just like any other part of the body it can short circuit..thus rendering you helpless and stuck with the consequences

It does seem odd that a guy on suicide watch could manage to pull it off.

I'm not sure what Flashmo eludes to by help ?

Guards killed him or something ?
I think he simply checked out knowing he couldn't live as an inmate.

However I would like to think that suicide watch would entail 24 hour video surveillance with an officer viewing 10-20 such prisoners at all times.

I firmly believe that a man has the right to say...hey, I'm guilty, no trial or nothing, I just want to check out, kill me right now !
