This year I decided to concentrate on the Maac and also on college totals. I especially like some of the MAAC Future totals and mostly in conference games.

GOOD LUCK

Hey MET. Glad to see you posting. Always look forward to your thoughts.

Let me ask...When you say MAAC conference are you talking about Iona, Fairfield, and Niagra OR

are you talking about the MAC teams like Northern Ill, Eastern Mich. and Toledo.

Good luck this year my friend.

FUTURES: I see the following 5 as the top MAC teams

OHIO should run away with the east

the west is loaded with : W MICH, TOLEDO, N ILL AND E MICH in basically that order

TEAM TOTALS $100 EA All@5 dimes

BALL ST UNDER 4 +110 It is hard to see Ball St favored in more than 3 games. They also have the dubious honor of starting conference play against the top 5 times mentioned above. 3 on the road

BUFFALO UNDER 6 +115 They had a great yr last yr but they just lost so much senior experience returning 5 on offense and only 3 on defense. Hard to see them winning 7 games

EMICH UNDER 6.5 -140 They should be better this yr, but they have 7 road games and the Western Mich squad is one of the 5 home games .hard to see them winning 7

MIAMI OHIO UNDER 5.5 -125 They return only 5 offensive and 5 defensive players . in their first 7 games they play on the road at Iowa, Cincy, Ohio State, and Western Michigan.Plus they have a home game with Northern Illinois. Later they play Ohio on the road. .they should be so beat up by then that I have a hard time seeing them win more than 4 games.

OHIO OVER 7.5 -150 They miss both Eastern Mich and Toledo, and the have the other top 2 teams at home.

WESTERN MICHIGAN UNDER 7.5 +100 They may be the cream of the crop in the MAAC this yr but besides having road games at Mich St and Syracuse, they will also play the other 4 top teams all on the road. they will need to win 2 of those 4 and run the table on the other MAAC games just to win the over.Even the Ga state game is not a given.

If anyone else has any insights or comments on the MAAC, please leave them here.

Thank you

No problem MET. I thought that is what you meant.

You are right, Ohio is the best in the East by far. They have the best QB in the MAC in Rourck.

The West is wide open. To me Toledo and Western Michigan are the best in the conference.

Good luck on your plays MET.

I was hoping you meant MAAC. Siena fan here.

REALLY? Are you from upstate NY JOH? Or has something else got you interested in them? They had a brief moment in the NCAA hoops a few yrs back, but I never heard anything about their football program

GOING TO ADD :
$100 EA:

NORTHERN ILLINOIS UNDER 6.5 -130 After looking a little close, I just think making an inexperienced running back as your head coach is probably not the best idea. They have Utah, Nebraska and Vandy in non league and play all 4 of the other top teams . Wortjh a shot

OHIO TO WIN THE EAST -158 Unfortunately I waited to long to make this play. They have the top QB in the conference and only Buffalo would have a chance to top them and as you can see from above, I do not think Buffalo has a very good year.

Forgot this is the Football Forum. I was thinking basketball. They don't have football. Yes, I'm from upstate.

I'm seeing Ohio at +350 to win the Conference...better value with that then to win the East ?

+350 to win the MAC is not bad odds (best I see online is +300) but don't confuse best odds with best value.

Ohio will have to vastly underachieve this year not to win the East. To me, that makes Ohio minus the juice a very attractive proposition.

The odds of them winning the conference, however, is much more risky. They will likely be underdogs in their conference championship game if Toledo or Western Michigan wins the west. While I like the +350 odds, I don't consider it better value.

It would depend on the future championship line imo...

1 think I learned over the years is the Tuesday and Wednesday nite MAC games are impossible to handicap due to being the only game on tv and the degenerates like to wager on then.

The trick is that once they start playing weeknight games, it’s WAY easier to bet the MAC on a Saturday being that there are so many games and nobody cares about the MAC on Saturdays and therefore, u can find some nice lines

EXACTLY ...in October it has traditionally been a rd team and under league depending which teams are playing. If you look at last yrs college thread, you would see my MAC plays did quite well.

If you like OHIO @+350 bet it and you can always make a money line play on the Western team for the Championship game.I prefer what "seems" like easy money
