Round two of the XFL continued on Wednesday with the unveiling of team names and logos for all eight teams in the league.

The newly revamped league intends to follow a similar structure as the original XFL did in 2001, before the league folded after one unsuccessful season, by operating in markets across the United States that currently or used to have NFL teams.

The New York Guardians will play at MetLife Stadium under head coach Kevin Gilbride, who most recently served as the Giants offensive coordinator from 2007 to 2013.

Other teams announced Wednesday include the Tampa Bay Vipers, Seattle Dragons, St. Louis Battlehawks, Los Angeles Wildcats, D.C. Defenders, Houston Roughnecks, and the Dallas Renegades.

The former XFL, which was controlled by the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) and NBC, lost viewership and ultimately seized operations after one season with both partners losing $35 million.

Founder of Alpha Entertainment LLC Vince McMahon, who owns the XFL, promised that although the league shares its previous trademark, it won’t rely on the entertainment features that emphasized violence as part of its original identity.

XFL teams will participate in a 10-game season with a two-week postseason beginning in February.
